This worked great in my child's coarse hair. We've used hair chalk combs before, and like the quality of this one.

The hair chalk works, but not like the pictures would have you believe, and you'll probably go nuts before you finish, if you finish, because it requires a LOT of pressure, and your hands will cramp like mad trying to get it done.No. Nope. Uh-Uh

Color is most visible on lighter hair, but the black chalk holder pulls and catches on the hair as it goes down the strand. And if the hair is darker, you will have to go over it in sections - repeatedly. So just keep that in mind when taking on something like this.

You're not going to be able to color hair quite as long as the picture shows (there's just not enough product included in one package to do that), but it's a nice way to add temporary color to shorter bits of hair. Leaves the hair feeling just a bit sticky and stiff, but nothing too terrible, and that kind of goes away after a bit of time. Washes out super easy.Great little value.

This washable hair chalk comb comes in a labeled box with a plastic head over the chalk. There is simple instructions on the box but as the product and the box are so small, are hard to read. This one came with blue and purple.Hair chalk is always hot and miss, being touchy on certain hair colors and this product is no exception. My hair is freshly dyed black and following the instructions and dampening the hair before drawing the comb through, I can get the blue to show up, but only lightly and almost no show on the purple. To get a noticeable tint of blue in the last 4 inches of my fine hair took about half of the blue.Once dried, this product does flake and powder off as well, which wasn’t an issue when my hair was up but left stains around my collar and shoulders down. It did easily wash free of hair, skin and clothing which was black at the time of use without staining.Product was also tried on someone with dirty blonde hair. The blue was much more vivid but once again, the purple took the whole chalk stick to manage the last 2 inches of hair with only mild coverage and had to be removed from the comb to use.Priced at $5.99 at the time of this review, this product tries but has some issues, to small to be comfortable to use as it with chalk that isn’t potent enough for more than a a use or two.
