Travelpro Luggage Maxlite 5 Softside Lightweight Rolling Underseat Compact Carry on Upright 2 Wheel Bag, 15-Inch — Black

I travel a lot, air, boat, car and train. I have specific luggage for the travel, but this bag fits all needs. I have used Travel Pro bags for about 30 years, and I have had no issues with their quality and durability. This 15" travel is perfect for a 2-3 day trip. I can fit a pair of shoes, 2 pair of pants, 4 shirts, 1 dress shirt and a medium pull over. I can also fit a shaving kit and some small electronics like cords, 8" tablet, belts and ties if needed. I also use this in conjunction with a travel backpack that provides additional days, but for purpose of this review, the travel handle is durable enough to hold backpack through the airport. The main compartment is versatile depending of using as a sole travel piece or additional. The two side pockets are great for small items for easy access during travel or a water bottle. The front pocket has compartments for charging cables and other small electronics. There is also a detachable shower compartment for toiletries. The wheels are well constructed and provide smooth roller travel on almost any hard surface including cobble stone. My wife has the same case and uses it for her shoes, show items and additional electronics. She also uses it with her 22" carry on and it fits nice on that with the built in strap for additional security. This is a light bag, and easy to move around, up or done stairs or just rolling along.

I purchased this Travelpro under seat carry on to go to a long weekend trip to Florida and wanted to pack as lean as I could. This bag is a nightly little champ. I love it. It holds a surprising amount of clothing, enough for a 4-day trip, with enough room for an extra pair of shoes. Plus there are great little side pockets to fit toiletries and extras. A front pocket is good for small electronics or whatever will fit. Inside is a pocket with padding designed to protect a large tablet or laptop, but I had another bag for that, so I used it for my socks and undies. Although this is a roller not a spinner, the large in-line skate-type wheels are quite amazing. Very maneuverable, smooth being pulled behind you and also very steady when rolled in front of you. Much more maneuverable in fact that a somewhat larger spinner I have. I would give this 10 stars if I could. I love this little guy!

I think this carry on / under seat bag works great. It's small enough to fit in the overheads of the smaller planes that the airlines make people with normal carry-ons do a gate check. The toiletries bag is really nice, convenient and has a hang hook to use in your hotel bathroom. The laptop sleeve is perfect size for my Microsoft Surface Pro. My only gripe is minor in that it's difficult to have the two handles on the top of the bag velcro'd together and pull the hand bar out to use the wheels. The handles get in the way a bit but still manageable. I prefer to have the handles velcro'd so I can simply drop the hand bar as necessary and reach down to grab the handles to pick up and vice versa. This does fit in the aisle-way of the airplane while being wheeled behind you. It does have a slot on the back side to slip over the handle of a larger bag if needed.

I've not actually used this yet, but so far it seems to be perfect for my needs. I The blue is a bit darker than I expected, but I can live with that. Also, I thought I ordered the one with the USB port, but upon reading the description again now, I see that this doesn't advertise that. This is ok, since I always pack with a small extra charger and the cord in my purse, when traveling. I didn't get this bag specifically for underseat ease, though it will work well for that when I do fly. I got it for short trips in my car, which is my preference, even when going across the U.S., and I wanted a small bag to conserve space and ease of use. I pack light clothes for layering, rolling my pants/leggings, and shirts, and a dress or two, and this so far has provided enough clothing to stretch to at least 4 -5 days, via mixing and matching my pants and tops. I still have room to pack in an extra pair of shoes, even at size12, by using a small separate packing pouch. There is plenty of room for my small laptop and a book or two, and my undies fit nicely into the zippered pouch provided, with extra space for a hanging garment if I need it. I like the way the top can be hinged for quick access, or laid back for digging deeper. Front zipper section provides space for another book, or note book, and pens and colored pencils if I want to work on art. I really like the elastic strap parts in the main compartment and one side for holding cables and cords, brushes and make up, and a charger or two. The side pockets are roomy enough for the quick access to those cords, and for storing my make up and toiletries. The roller handle tucks nicely away into its own zippered pocket, and is easy to pull out and push back. I've only rolled this little suit case around the house, but so far that is enough to compare it to other roller handles and the wheels that I've gotten frustrated with on other suitcases not as well made. The only thing I might call a problem is that the handle lockes only when it is pulled out to its furthest extension. While each separate extension does lock, the whole handle tends to push down when you push the case backwards, but this seems to make the turns easier than most, and it locks well when pulled all the way up. I'm more than pleased with the wheels themselves. It rolls smoothly. If I run into problems in future, I'll note them, but the case is well made nd seems sturdy. So... here's to looking forward with a travel bag that holds plenty, with out taking up too much space, and is easy on the back. Thanks. This bag is by far the best underseat rolling bag. I’ve gone through a few, and have had this one for three years. In those three years, it’s traveled at least 25 times, gone all over the world, and is consistently overpacked, and has 25+ lb bags loaded on top to trolley them through airlines. After three years of heavy, hard use, it still looks and functions like new! The handle goes up and down smoothly still, has very little “wiggle” to it, and all zippers go up and down perfectly. It’s withstood being tossed around, flung into airline bins, and my kiddos torturing it. I can truly see why this bag is recommended and widely used by pilots and airline stewardesses. Just get the bag. It’s worth every penny!

Got confused because the product title in products lists reads Maxlite 5, but once you open the product details page, it’s all about Crew 10. I wanted bigger one, but got smaller one (I’m still not sure which is which) right before my flight, so I don’t have time to return it. Well…

Haven't tried it under the aeroplane seat in front yet but it looks like It will be easier to put in the overhead locker being slightly smaller than a cabin bag.

It really does fit and slide well under plane seats

Very strong build, even the wheels are nice and sturdy. I use it for travel and work. It’s compact but contains a lot more than expected.
