Purchase the anycubic in May of 25. It is now January of 26 so might as well leave a review. I have printed hundreds of hours literally 600 hours plus on this machine. I've ran all sorts of filament through it and really there's been no issues that wouldn't be expected with a 3D printer. I didn't do any upgrades to it except for the camera. And I've really only cleaned the plate with isopropyl alcohol and use hairspray occasionally. The print quality is to be expected. It's not perfect but it's light years better than what the old generation of machines are. And I want to give a special shout out to the customer service. I've emailed them a couple times with issues and I've gotten quick responses and really not a lot of hoops to jump through to even get replacement parts. The latest part is from Los Angeles and they even fedexed it. Overall, I'm very impressed with anycubic and definitely would consider them in the running for the next machines, especially for a budget machine.

Edited 2025-01-18: OK - it was all my fault. I give this really cool printer 5 stars with no reservation. When the printer first clogged and jammed the port in the back of the ACE Pro, I reassembled it wrong. Watching a video on checking and clearing that part I noticed I did not have the ports aligned correctly. I opened it up and properly aligned the ports then reassembled. After that I've been printing successfully all day, making several prints with no problems or errors. Edited 2025-01-17: Working with tech support, removed the ACE Pro and fed filament from the attached reel. Everything works great. Now to find out what's up with the ACE Pro, it's a requirement for me for multi-color prints. Edited 2025-01-14: No idea what happened, but a couple days ago while printing a 4-color model, one of the ports in the back of the ACE jammed. Cleaned that out, now the hotend jams constantly. After printing, the filament is broken off just above where the filament enters the tube leading to the hotend. I clean it out, it jams on the next extraction. Clean it out, breaks again. Logged a support ticket, still waiting to hear from them. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Not new to 3D Printing, but definitely not an expert. This is my 3rd printer and I'm very happy with it. Unlike some other reviewers that said they were up and running in 20 minutes, it took me about 3 hours. There was some housecleaning and rearranging that had to be done that slowed things down, but honestly it took me about 15 minutes just to get it out of the box. It is packed in there pretty tightly with the ACE unit and takes some maneuvering to unpack it. I must say it is well packed. When the delivery person was bringing it to the door, one of the cutout handles on the side tore and it took a tumble of maybe 18 inches or so. I caught it on my doorbell camera. I checked that area when I unpacked it and nothing was amiss. After I got it and the ACE unit assembled, I went through the setup process and then printed the Shark Bottle Opener and that little tugboat, both in PLA. It was old PLA at that, a bit brittle in some places. The models printed perfectly, and I couldn't believe the speed. It's FAST! I've made a few designs of my own and made multicolor prints that have come out perfectly. I'm having a bit of a problem with some small parts that aren't sticking and became blobs. I'll change the adhesion method and try again. I want to add, I first bought the Bambu A1 Combo. While waiting for delivery I did lots of research and found the restrictions on various types of filaments caused me to change my mind and get the Anycubic. The Bambu was returned unopened. Another note, not directly the printer but dfinitely related....the slicer is a different type that I had not used before. As I said, I'm far from an expert, but this slicer has some very different ways of doing things that has caused lots of delay in building models.

I tried to make it work 3 times and each time this printer has failed on me. I'm tired of trying to make it work. The print bed is deformed. I bought this printer anycubic kobra 3 combo for the 3rd time from Amazon and I bought another one on sale from anycubic website so I can print in 8 colors... Giant failure all around. I have 2 brand new printers with deformed beds. I reached out to customer support and they say they can't do anything about it. This brand is definitely not a value for your money - I've spent more of my personal time trying to get this printer to work than actually using it. I bought 2 extra PEI sheets to try different approaches for getting this printer to get the first layer to adhere to the bed ... Those will have to be refunded too. I bought upgraded nozzles for $40 each and it doesn't make any difference. I tried to print their official 8 color extruder module from their wiki (pictured in blue) but this printer warps all print jobs no matter what settings I tried. I bought glue that is cured on high heat of bed then you turn it down so it's sticky... nothing has worked and their support is essentially "sorry this is what you get". I understand now that I am done trying to get anycubic kobra 3 combo to work and will be investing in a Prusa 8 color 3d printer. I would urge anyone who is serious about not wasting filaments, time and efforts for any type of multi-color print jobs to stay away from this brand because I really wanted to make this work but it has completely failed my expectations. The other 2 previous refunds were due to their multi color filament box ACE being defective on one of the filaments and the next purchased printer actually short-circuited when I raised the nozzle temperature from 210 to 230 - there was smoke coming out of it and I'm thankful I was around because it may have caught fire if it was left on it own. As a design this is poorly thought-of, they have the filaments in the ACE box drying but the Teflon tubes are so long and not heated that if you don't use all 4 colors regularly, the filaments in the tubes that are not exposed to heat are prone to breaking and unnecessary clogging. I have only bad things to say about this printer and want to make sure that other consumers are aware of the mountain of problems if they choose to buy from this brand. This Amazon refund is pretty straightforward, I just hope the refund from their website is just as easy (they better not charge me $$$ for shipping back their faulty product)

This unit works great but color printing is sadly very wasteful. Think about what you are going to print very carefully and try to use as few layers as possible and few colors... Probably calibrate your purge carefully to reduce 75% of your waste. The cutter on the Kobra 3 cuts high so all that filament has to be purged and a new color is fed in, the new filament has to purge the remnant color out of the nozzle so a tall project might have 1000 layers which means each color change needs a purge... 8 colors per layer times 1000 layers and you will waste spools of PLA in printer poop. I've filled bags and it's all over the floor as the Kobra 3 just flings poop off the side into the room. Etsy has a poop deflector you can print for a few bucks but it's design could be improved so the poop don't get stuck under the bed. The printer works great but if you need to print 8 colors, make sure to buy the adapter that feeds 8 colors to the head and try not to print your own as it will break in the middle of a project and you will be stuck... The 8 port adapter is $15 and injection molded where as PLA isn't made for the stress the 8 tubes will put on it. I broke 3 printed adapters before I edited the STL to make the walls thicker and reinforce the adapter body... The 8 port adapter wasn't available at the time I purchased this and they offered a free STL for the adapter on the Anycubic wiki page. Works in a pinch. I love the clean printing and how well the colors come out but hate the wasted PLA. Would buy again. I have 2 Ace pro units...why don't they sell a 8 color combo kit?? They would sell alot more of these!

UPDATE: After the amazing support from Anycubics team, the printer is now up and working without a single issue. I plan on getting different filaments to test it out some more, but the printer has been great. Outside of the original issue it hasn't clogged, failed a print or anything. I want to make this very clear, it's three stars just because I think my printer was defective coming out the box. I am being assisted by anycubic support and they have been extremely helpful through this whole process. After getting everything resolved if it is fixed I'll update or redo my review. When I have used it, the simplicity is great. After connecting to it using the software (it did take a bit to do that) printing is just putting the file in the software, changing any settings you want, or none if you have them set how you want, and just hitting print. As you set it to print you can have it do bed leveling, flow check, and other for each print. I normally just do bed leveling since I don't use any wild or special filament. For the ACE part, the filament dryer only works if it the ACE and printer are connected. The dryer function is controlled through the printer itself and not just running if the ACE is plugged into power and not the printer. Small detail but not really noted anywhere that I saw, and I haven't fully set up the ace because of the above issue
