A Small Upgrade That Made a Big Difference
I honestly didnโt expect such a huge improvement from this portable 7โ HD touchscreen โ but wow. Installation was incredibly easy. No complicated wiring, no stress. Within minutes, it was up and running in my car. The screen is noticeably bigger than my original built-in display, and that alone completely upgraded the look and feel of my dashboard. It feels more modern and way more comfortable to use while driving. The wireless connection works smoothly, and pairing was quick and stable. Apple CarPlay runs perfectly โ responsive, clear, and super intuitive. The navigation feature has been a game changer for me. I no longer stress about directions or squint at a tiny screen. Everything is clear, fast, and reliable. Overall, this portable screen dramatically improved my driving experience without the cost of replacing the entire system. If youโre thinking about upgrading your car tech without breaking the bank, this is absolutely worth it.

Real user review
We have a 2005 Honda CRV and I wanted to add a backup camera, but I was also interested in Android Auto. I usually just mount my phone to the dash and use that for music and maps (I already added bluetooth a few years ago to the car). But with the added screen, I needed something to replace the functionality of the phone that would no longer be on the dash. And Android auto fits the bill for sure (but that's not really what this review is about). Honestly, the price was a factor, but the reviews were more what swayed me. I would have paid double this for a unit that works really well and will last considering how much effort it is to install and run wires. For this review, I'll start with the cons, because I think they're more important and outweigh the pros heavily: CONS - The backup camera is AWFUL. A-W-F-U-L. If any kind of sun hits it, all you get is silhouettes. And despite the listing here, it does not do well at night. It's just a black screen with some things barely lit up by the reverse lights. Also, not sure how this is 170 degrees. The thing has no peripherals. I'm always scared I'm going to hit someone. Also, the guidelines for the camera on the screen CAN be edited, but they do not save and just revert back to the default, which for me make them totally useless. Honestly, I think that this camera makes my car less safe than more, which was kind of the entire point. - The screen quality is kind of awful too. At night it's a little easier to see, but generally, google maps on Android auto is so hard to tell the difference between roads and everything else. In direct sun, forget about it. You will lose your way with directions. I tried night mode and changing all of the display settings and could not get the image to be any clearer. Also the display has this weird blue/green tinge that makes it hard to see certain colors. There's a "hue" setting in the display settings but the slider does not seem to do anything. - Instructions were basically non-existent. They tell you to wire the camera to the positive on your reverse lights and then send you out into the world. PROS - Surprisingly, given the other issues, the touchscreen is pretty responsive and works well. There's maybe a tiny but of lag, but it's not really noticeable. I was expecting something less snappy. - The length on the cable for the backup camera was thankfully long enough - I like that they give you 4 options to get audio to your stereo. Originally buying this, I thought I'd use bluetooth. But I found that the aux out was actually more convenient and had better quality (also bluetooth from phone to unit, then unit to car seemed a little much). Overall, if I could go back and do it again I'd pay more money for something with a better camera (though how you're supposed to know, I have no idea. the reviews I read here said that it was great, but obviously something fishy is going on there).

Awesome CarPlay Screen for Any Car
Received today and hooked up in my 2015 Ford Explorer. I ordered the 7" because it measured the same as the screen in my car, that the navigation is not compatible with new SYNC updates. Easy to set up and now I can view WAZE on something larger than my phone. Connected to my phone's Bluetooth and everything was right there. The android assistant understands my southern drawl and will read text to me and allow me to respond with what I say correctly!! Screen responsiveness is quick and layout makes sense, I just have to learn it. Cord is long if where you want it placed it far away from your 12V power outlet. It also comes with a back up camera (which I do not need right now) and TWO mounts. I wanted it to sit in front of the existing screen so my husband modified the flat square base and it looks perfect! 100% recommend! Will update if anything happens to change my opinion.

Great product that required resoldering USB connector
Update - the seller reached out and offered to replace the product. I did not take them up on it. However, since resoldering the USB port, it's worked flawlessly in every temperature of winter and summer. So a great product and service. Just understand you might get an oddball like I did and need to fix it replace. 4 stars for a nice product overall. I would hesitate on purchasing this product again. While initial setup was simple and worked great out of the box, within a couple of weeks, the USB C connector broke from the circuit board it was soldered to. I am attaching an image circling where the pins broke. I think there was not enough solder on both the pins and the legs of the port. This allowed the port to wiggle each time the cable was plugged in or removed. Over the course of probably 30-50 actions of plugging in the device, the solder cracked and the pins stopped making a connection. You can see the breaks in the image. There is clearly a dark line indicating the gap and shadow separating the pins from the solder pads. I had to go in and resolder the pins which I would not recommend normally. Those pins are very tiny and tough to keep from bridging. At least for me. But after a solid 90 minutes of solder, removing and resoldering, I was able to get the device working again. I also reinforced the legs with additional solder to keep from flexing as much. For now, the device works again. But for the price, they should not be skimping on solder like the picture shows. For anyone that has the device turning off randomly, this is likely your issue. If you open it up, plug in a cable and slightly wiggle it. You will most likely see the port wiggling freely from its solder pins (may need to zoom in with your camera's phone to see it). Those pins will need to be resoldered. Find someone with the skills if you don't have them and the screen should start working again.
