I adored the fact that Tim Burton decided to stick to as many practical effects as he could, and tried to stay away from CGI which gave the movie a more realistic and elegant touch. I'm a huge fan of practical effects, so I was having a blast looking at all the makeup, costumes, and set choices. The film was full of surprises and had me hooked from scene one!
