Very efficient vacuum and great for kitchen tile floor
Bought this item on the Prime Day sale and am so glad the I did! Ecovacs is a great brand, my husband bought me the M90Pro years ago so I am familiar with the brand and like it. We live in a tri level house and purchased this to use in my kitchen / dining room area. The kitchen tiles get debris from tracking in grass and dirt from garage and back yard, plus just everyday crumbs that are accidentally dropped. Bought this to replace the Roomba 600 series that was in the kitchen. My husband complained that the Roomba was super irritating bc of how loud it was, and it frequently got stuck under front of refrigerator, causing it to make even more noise with a beeping error sound. Once I received this purchase I moved the noisy Roomba upstairs, and now use the new Ecovacs in the kitchen. It was simple to set up. I did have to call customer service to ask where the button was to sync to our WiFi. The button is same color as the vacuum and sits almost flush so I didn’t notice the button until customer service told me where to find it under the lid cover. After that it mapped my kitchen floor easily. I love that it vacuums in rows and not just randomly in a crazy nonsensical pattern like the Roomba. It is super quiet, which is great! It’s very nice that you can change the suction level on the app, which was not a feature that I have had before. The suction levels can be chosen in the app: Standard, Strong, and Max. I use the standard for everyday maintenance. I’ve used string when grass clippings got tracked in a couple times, but have not gad to use the Max setting - just haven’t needed since Standard does a great job daily. The higher strong suction level is a bit louder but I haven’t really needed to use that setting very often. Also, there is no bag used in the dustbin like some other brands. Just remove dustbin, click the eject button and the bottom of dust bin door opens, so it can be emptied into a trash can very easily. The self emptying Roomba I considered (for comparison) utilizes bags to collect the dirt - this one does not, so I don’t have to spend $$ on bags, which cause more trash and could also be messy. I have not used the mopping feature and will probably not - never used it on my older M90 Pro either, (I usually use a steam mop for mopping the tile floors). Overall I really, really love this machine and am very pleased with the purchase. :)

If you want something to yell at.....
Ive had this product about a year now...and i can honestly say that its one of the most disappointing purchases ive ever made. Like anyone reading this review i pride myself on doing lots of research and getting the best option for our family. However, in this case i failed miserably. Previous reviewer must of run this thing over some dust snd then sung its praises cause i have found none of the advertised functions to be true. I rarely leave reviews but this thing annoyed me enough that here i am Lets the good out of the way first. 1) its relatively quiet compared to my prev unit 2) it navigates fairly well with a significant caveat to be explained in a moment Thats really it The bad 1) the docking station is routinely takes a vacation. By routinely i mean every time it runs the docking station refuses to send out a home signal unless its unplugged/replugged. The result is the vaccum runs all over the house and spends half its battery trying to find home unless i help it. But half the point was to NOT have to help 2) software was a pain to setup. Im a software engineer and when i say the setup software had very little testing...u can interpret that its horrible. 3) the app is just "ok" . The maps it makes make very little sense in relation to the actual floorplan of the house. But the scheduling works. You can also name it. I recommend a name you hate 3) this is by far the biggest issue. Nothing beyond just "dust" ever makes it to the internal bin...absolutely nothing. Oh it will pick stuff up but none of it will make it past the roller and into the bin. You just end up with a huge mat of hair jammed around the roller and an empty internal bin every single day. So every single day i have to clean out something thats supposed to be relatively hands free. Pet hair? Forget about it. The most unpet friendly device u can imagine. Cant even handle short dog hair let alone long hairs. The bin after a year looks brand new cause nothing ever gets to it Ive tried all the settings in the app to make it suck harder and return more often. Nothing works 4) jamming. Everything from a very small piece of dog food to a twist tie will completely jam this unit. Fine really, cause im already having to clean the stupid thing out anyway 5) this cost way way tok much money for what u get ...because all you will get is aggravation. My super cheap entry robot i had previously worked with various replacement parts for 3-4 years . It could wake the dead...but at least it worked Synopsis: avoid at all costs unless you just need an inanimate object to focus your rage on daily

Very good for pet hair!
I read reviews on Eufy, Shark, Roborock, and Roomba before finally committing to this model from Ecovac. I especially wanted a robot that could tackle the pet hair from 2 dogs and 4 cats (and myself!) without getting tangled every couple minutes. I looked into the "detangling" ability of various models and thought this one looked safe (my critters are dumb and I worry about their tails getting caught under) and yet still effective. Getting it set up and started was super easy. Was a little afraid after reading some reviews about the mapping but I had zero trouble getting the app on my phone and whole house mapped quickly. I was a tiny bit disappointed it didn't have the live camera feature as more expensive machines, but I knew that beforehand. Another thing I was looking for was for it to be self-emptying, and I didn't want to have to buy bags or filters of any sort. This machine has an easy to remove and dump canister very similar to my Dyson vacuum, so that was great. There's a reservoir for water and a pad for mopping, but I only used it once and it got my entryway rug wet, so I'm guessing it's not really smart enough to know the difference between tile and very low-profile rugs. I didn't really care about mopping so I just took the pad off, and this didn't affect my rating. What I took a star off for is because I was initially getting frequent "main brush tangled" messages, and had to pull out my phone to find the bot, then go over to it with a pair of scissors, flip it upside down, pull out all the hair (basically emptying it in the process) and cut the few hairs causing the issue. Also, I had actually initiated a return because I was getting persistant brush tangle errors after just having done this process (so it was perfectly clean) before Googling it and finding out there's a cap on one end of the main brush that can pull off. Once I did that and removed some hair from in there, the bot started up again just fine and hasn't thrown another error since (it's been about 2 weeks running with no issues now). Kinda think maybe I should have deep cleaned the whole house before using it for the first time, and maybe I wouldn't have had that problem. I run it every other day in a 1600sq ft area and it takes a little over an hour. It is a little bit loud, but I actually find it a kind of comforting white-noise. It would be amazing if they could improve the app to draw boundaries or "no-go" zones, but hopeful that's an improvement that could be done later. As is it now, I just close the door when I don't want it to go in any particular room. Overall, I'm very pleased with this machine and with the app, its ability to cross thresholds and rugs, and vacuuming strength and capacity. Not sure how it can tell the difference between my leg and the table leg, but the sensors on this thing seem to know; sensitivity seems to pretty good as it has only run into sleeping critters a couple times. I'm very happy with "Bobbert the Deebot."

If you have pets or carpet, THIS VAC IS THE BEST!!!!
If you have multiple pets like we do, (2 big hairy Aussies and 6 cats) and/or carpeting, THIS is the one for you!!!! I am almost ashamed to admit I have tried 7 different self emptying vacuums/brands (Roomba, Shark, Roborock, Eureka, Eufy and Narwhal, and the Ecovac) since June and sent each one back, mainly because they couldn’t handle the hair at our house, and they didn’t do a good job on the carpet, until this one. IT IS AMAZING!!!!! First, as I unboxed it I could tell a NOTICEABLE DIFFERENCE in the weight of it. It is very heavy compared to the other ones I tried. It just feels like so much better quality. For its actual purpose, it cleans the carpet beautifully, AND picks up SO MUCH dirt and hair, AND leaves lines in the carpet just like a regular full size vacuum. I love how easy it is to empty the dirt collection/tower part, it doesn’t take any bags, you can set it to go back to the base to empty when the dirt cup is full, the app/map is VERY user friendly. I have it set on MAX suction power (it has 4 levels) and to make just one pass (it has the option to make 1 or 2) and it does a great job on the carpet. It does shorten the battery life, but i don’t mind, I like the extra power it has and it will go back and charge then resume where it left off. Even set on max, it only has to go back once to recharge in my house. I have not tried the mop part yet, I mainly used the robot vac strictly for vacuuming. We are planning to replace the carpet with LVP in the near future, and I will come back and update this review when I use it. I think this robot vac is an excellent value for the money and it gets the JOB DONE! It is a true workhorse and so powerful!

Many cons
Cons: This is no Roborock. It doesn't clean its own mop pads or have a dirty water chamber. The small water chamber is in the removable cartridge on the actual round vacuum and I recommend using a funnel to fill it. The mop feature in not set and forget. I have a 500 sq ft home and I have to wash the mop pad (un Velcro and then slide it out) and fill the water every day. I run this in the middle of the night and I have turned the voice down so it won't wake us up and I didn't want her to tell us she ran out of water in the middle of the night. Also, the instructions for this are non-existent. I had to call in. It was very hard to set up on WiFi. After you download app, turn off your mobile data on phone, connect to your non 5G if you have it, make sure your Bluetooth is on, and stand within 5 meters of the robot. The robot buttons are referred to by more than one name, but there's only a few of them. It doesn't mop along the edges. Pros: it does vacuum well, including the edges and empties itself well. The larger dust collection bin functions without vacuum bags, which I like. The mopped areas are acceptable, except for edges. I have a couple of throw rugs which it navigated around most of the time. Customer service call time is fairly quick. Only takes about 15 percent of its charge to run my little house.

Excellent Robot Vacuum – Smart and Very Efficient
This robot vacuum works great and makes cleaning much easier. It has strong suction, navigates the house well, and the mop feature is a nice bonus. The automatic station is very convenient because it saves time and reduces maintenance. It cleans thoroughly and is very easy to set up and control from the app. Overall, a great investment for keeping the house clean with minimal effort.

Great robot vaccum. Maps house pretty accurately
Works great. Love its mapping feature that shows what its cleaning. Have setup multiple maps for each floor of my house. Does have the problems of socks and things blocking it but that is the case with all the robot vacuums. Love the carpet avoidance feature when mopping so that it doesn't spray water on the carpets. Overall a good product. Will update after a few months of use.

Surprisingly poor performance, constantly gets tangled
Bought this for $350 8 months ago in April, 2025 to replace a cheaper robot vacuum that didn't have auto-emptying capability at the charging station (the main feature I wanted in this one). The old one had a mechanical failure, but worked decently well until then. This one, however, has nearly nothing actually functioning correctly. It would be much less trouble and money to just use a manual vacuum to vacuum the house entire house. What doesn't work: * It gets "main brush tangled" at most 10 minutes after it starts vacuuming. Every time. I have 2 dogs, so yes, there's some hair on the floor. But it's like it sucks up the hair and it just goes into the bush area and never into the actual vacuum's bin area, so the tiny amount of space around the brush is the maximum it can vacuum before it complains with this error and completely stops. It makes no attempt to fix itself, it doesn't go back to charging station to try to empty it, it just stops wherever. And when this happens, I have to pick it up, take out the main brush, empty all the dust and air from around it myself manually, put it back in, and start it. Every 10 minutes at best. This is not in any way automatic. In fact, in the near year that I've had it, I've never had to empty charging station's bin because nothing ever makes it past the main brush. * It does not obey the out-of-bounds areas specified in the app. I specified 2: my dog door (so it doesn't end up outside) and my stand-in shower (because it has a lip and the vacuum gets stuck if it ends up in there). It consistently still gets stuck in the shower (if it doesn't have its main brush tangled first) and tries to go outside (it's succeeded before). * Auto mapping of home: did this when I initially got it. It failed to make it to 3 out of 4 rooms and considered its job done. * App staying connected to device: it got disconnected for some reason within maybe 3 weeks. * If it tries to get around an obstacle, it kind of works by slowly moving and incrementally changing it's angle. But while it's doing this slow process and moving across an edge, it disables its vacuum. So it practically never vacuums any edges. Why? * Battery: when it gets main brush tangled: if I don't pick it up and clean it within maybe 30 minutes, then by the time I fix its main brush and try to start it again, it doesn't start or say anything, presumably because it's dead. I legitimately don't know if lasts more than 30 minutes because of how often it gets main brush tangled. What works: * It technically vacuums I guess * It has an amusing statement when you pick it up while it's still on, something like "off the floor: please put me back" * The mechanics of going around edges seems decent * If the features and app actually worked, the features would be good.
