Is it normal for this scale to have a lump in the middle? I feel really uneasy when I stand on it. Almost awkward.

Dear Guadalupe,

Thank you for purchasing our Beurer PS25 scale.  Yes, there is a lump in the middle, however you should be placing your feet on the sides of the scale to take your weight measurement.

General troubleshooting includes: inspecting the 4 “feet” at the 4 corners of the scale to ensure that each “foot” is not damaged and that each “foot” is securely fastened to the scale; ensuring that the scale is being used on a hard level surface such as a wood floor or a ceramic tile floor as the scale will not work on a carpet or a rug and at times linoleum tiled floor as well. Please note that it is recommended to always activate the scale and allow the display to show “0.0” before standing on the scale for a weight measurement. Also, always place your feet along the sides of the weighing platform (not too far forward or too far back) and not the middle of the weighing platform as the sensors that take the weight measurement are located at the four corners of the scale.

Question 3

I changed the batteries using aaa batteries but the scale does not work. does this scale take a special kind of aaa batteries?

The PS25 scale uses 2 (two) 1.5 volt AAA batteries.  Make sure you insert the batteries in the appropriate orientation (+) end correctly.  Make sure each battery has a 1.5 volt DC charge. Any AAA batteries should be good, although Duracell, Energizer, and Panasonic brands may tend to last longer.

I've seen a couple of comments that the scale itself is heavy. Does anyone know how much it weighs?

The Beuer PS25 scale is only about 3.5 pounds,   Displays personal weight in large digital display accurately in .2 lb increments up to almost 400 lbs. A great beauty and benefit to any home or bathroom. Weight is most accurate when used on hard floors, rather than padded carpets or rugs.
