Is it region free or does it only work with games from a specific region?

The GBA SP is region free. It is fully compatible with all games from all regions (EUR, USA & JPN).

Hi i am looking for the ags 101 version with the back lit screen can you confirm this is that model? Also is the charger included?

Hi no it isnt, I thought it was cos of the info given but its the 001, I decided to keep it + rehouse as a gift for fathers day...Ps hope u find the 101 version for a good price, I found out they go for around £60-100......

No. These never had games built in. So yours must just have had a cartridge slotted in it.

Does this work off the mains?

it charges with a mains adapter but no it runs off its own battery (and no those are not AA batteries either). Like a mobile or smartphone.
