My grandmother bought Watkins products from a lady named Pearly. She called it Pearly’s salve. Therefore, our whole family calls it that. We are distressed because we can’t find it now. It is good for whatever ails you. I taught school 42 years. All of my students called it Pearly’sSalve. I took it on all of our trips. Please make it again!!!

When I was a little girl, my grandmother used to rub camphorated oil on my chest and neck when I was sick and it’s such a comforting smell aroma. For some reason in the 80s maybe , they took camper oil off the market because people were abusing it. I can’t believe it but that’s true so I am tickled to have this product that smells very similar to the straight camper that my grandmother used. Thank you for your product.

I remember as a little girl, the door to door salesman coming to our door with Watkins Menthol Salve. It was a staple in our home in Buffalo, NY. It's great for so many things. I'm an RN. I continue to find beneficial uses for this salve. Besides it's benefits for chest colds (rub it on your chest before bed, sleep in a heavy shirt), it's also great for head colds (a little under your nose goes a long way to ease breathing. Rub it around your nostrils to ease the inflamation from constantly blowing your nose), cold sores (can prevent if applied during the tingling sensation before one erupts), paper cuts, (expedites healing and lessens pain for both) toe fungus (it smothers the fungus so it dies), dry skin (rub it into dry and cracking feet and hands, expecially during winter months).
