I really like this kettle which I have been using for six months. I use it to brew instant coffee each morning mixing the coffee right into the interior. First I heat the water to 195F and after it reaches stability I mix in the instant coffee. Just the right temperature to add to a mug with cold milk and so good for the warm-me-up additions later. I highly recommend using an illuminated outlet switch such as the POWER-ON ANKO Wall tap Adapter with Power switch (4 pack) available at Amazon. This is a safety measure such that when kettle is not in service the power base is not energized. Also if there is ever a need to turn it off when in service that switch makes it so easy. I use a 16 gauge extension cord with the power switch right close to the kettle within easy reach access. Although my Penguin styled Fashome unit is not currently available there are a few solid color units available with the same specifications. Just search with “Fashome kettle” to locate. Highly recommended

I ordered this and it came defective. None of its buttons worked. I had it replaced but the 2nd one that i got worked for 31 days and then the buttons stopped responding to touch or push. That’s 1 day past the 30-day return window! What a waste of money. Note that i was never able to set the temperature to an exact number. That feature doesn’t work. It’s only either boiling point or keep warm. Why did you pick this product vs others?: because it is a cute design and the features described matched what i was looking for. Temperature control: Only boiling point OR keep warm. I couldn’t set the exact temperature I wanted. Heat up: fast heating. Looks: cute design

This is the cutest tea kettle amd the quality is great. I use it several times a week.

I haven't ever used any other electric kettles so I cant compare it to others. I mostly ordered it because I got the penguin colored one. It heats up the right amount of water for me to have tea for 3 of my 12oz cups of tea. The controls are really easy to use. It displays the preset temps as you cycle through them with the "keep warm" setting. It beeps when the water is to the desired temp. It boils water pretty quickly. Our stovetop is super slow, so I split my large pot of pasta water between it and the pot. After boiling two kettles of water I tried to remove the lid for a 3rd and the plastic edge on top detached a bit (hence 4 stars instead of 5). It's also not the best lid design. It's not the easiest to grip and open. I think if I had long nails I wouldnt be able to open it at all.

I really loved this kettle. I splurged a bit since my last cheap kettle lasted me several years of near daily use, it seemed like a worthwhile splurge. I love cute appliances and struggled to find a quality one that had different temp settings and keep warm function. So i got this one with the penguin pattern and i adored it. It was such a great kettle...until the display just suddenly started malfunctioning. I looked up the manual and tried some trouble shooting to no avail. Whenever i plug it in, the display just starts freaking out switching between random temps, starting and stopping boiling, no response from buttons, and sometimes it just very rapidly flashes the display with nonstop beeping. I tried different outlets with different appliances to confirm it's not an outlet issue. I am always careful not to expose the heating element, cord, and base to water so i know there isn't damage. The display started acting up after sucessfully boiling water, i turned away to start making my drink when i heard repeated beeping. Nothing seems to fix it and i only had this since September (about 5 months). I was really excited to have a quality kettle to at least last as long as my cheap one had which makes this all the more disappointing.

Less than a year old and no longer working properly. Loved it until it started beeping and jumping back and forth from the heat and warm settings. I followed the minimal instructions for troubleshooting which suggested descaling. It worked a couple times more then crapped out again. Can no longer use.

Does the job and does it really well. Heats water super fast. Looks so cute. I love this!!!!
