Should this be used with a cellulite defense cream or oil or could it be used in the shower?

I would recommend using a cellulite defense cream after a shower to maximize the benefits (I have been using Celluaid, described in an online article not affiliated with the manufacturer as the only cellulite cream that actually worked, based on a 60-day trial of 10 cellulite defense creams). The bonus: it's less than $40 a 6-oz tube.

What kind of motions work best for you (circular, vertical, etc)?How often do you use it and for how long do you massage each time?

Hi, I vary between circular and vertical and I have been faithfully using it every time I shower for about 2 weeks.  I go up and  down my legs in small sections up 1/2 - min. to one, on each section. The cellulite is not completely gone but it is less noticeable.I got away from exercise but plan on starting up again and I know your diet will help a lot.

though it may help diminish the appearance of cellulite, this in fact will not tighten your loose skin nor will it help you loose fat. both of those things can only be done through proper, healthy whole foods diet, lots of water daily and by working out 4-5 times a week.

I recently bought a circulation brush that had bristles, they shed and were very rough on the skin. Are these pink things soft or hard? Thanks

Hard, molded plastic is what the surface is made out of.  I would agree that this massager itself is rough on the skin unless you use with soap, lotion or oil.  I use mine daily in the shower with body wash and have no complaints.  Hope this helps
