This brandy is not "5 Year Aged" as in the title. The "5" refers to the number of sherry casks through which it has passed during production, hence the "Sherry 5 Cask" on the label. Its producers, Gonzalez Byass, state on their website that it is normally between 1 and 3 years old. That said, it's one of the most delicious brandies I have tasted and is now the only one I buy - except when I feel extravagant, when I buy Soberano 12. This is not 12 years old but, as before, has dwelt in up to 12 sherry casks and is generally around 7 years old.

This is a favourite drink of my husband's as he used to live in Spain. In the last few years only been able to get it when we have gone on holiday so to be able to get him it for Xmas was amazing. Good quality and good value for money.

Arrived on following day without incident or question. Was worth the wait - lovely taste. Good value for money

Love this stuff. Matured in Oak sherry barrels the blurb says - but undeniably smooth and slightly sweet is the result, a very pleasant drink served over ice (sacrilege!). A sweet tasting brandy is perhaps not to everyone's taste, but if you've tried it and like it I suspect that, like us, you'll be back for more.

I'd not heard of this brandy but as it was on special I decided to try it. So glad I did as it's beautifully smooth with rich deep flavours, gorgeous.❤️
