No feeling when applied to tooth thou. So as silly as it sounds I used a mouth piece from the game ‘speak out’ to hold my lips out the way while applying.... worked like treat. Wanted to add this, I’ve just had the tooth in question removed, and I ended up getting ‘dry socket’ ouch!!! I went back and he used clove oil cotton wool and inserted into the dry socket, because of the infection, same taste etc and is hopefully healing now. It must work for even dentists to use it.

**Q: The nerve in my tooth is exposed at the side, so when i use this stuff, the gum will be touched. is pain bearable and how long would it last?**
A: It doesn't hurt. It can have a spicy burn to it if you are a wuss. But the relief you get from it far outweighs any negative effects. I actually like the way it taste. If you've ever had a Darius black clove cigarette, it taste like that, just stronger. This stuff helped me go 2 months without dental care while I waited on my insurance waiting period to lapse. It kills the worst of toothaches caused by rot that has left the nerve exposed. The medicine can keep the pain away for as long as 24 to 36 hours, depending on whether or not you brush it off while brushing your teeth. But if you do, just reapply. You don't seem to build a tolerance to it like orajel.

**Q: Can I use this on an extracted tooth in the gum?**
A: It absolutely helped my gum pain after a root canal and extraction. It did not burn my gums but it did numb my lip and tongue for a short amount of time.

**Q: I have a cavity in the middle of my tooth. Do I place the product around the white part of the teeth or right on the cavity which is the black part?**
A: Place it directly on the cavity. My mother, who has since deceased, used this product for years. It’s wonderful!

**Q: What do I do if I accidentally swallow the pellet after being dipped in eugenol?**
A: You do nothing. Eugenol is a derivative of cloves, and is actually beneficial when consumed.

Talking from personal experience, when i received this product i had high expectations due to a previous video i had watched and other countless reviews on the web. The way you apply the product is unclear on the packaging, but simply put you have to hold the cotton bud for 1 minute in the effected area. I had been suffering from a severe toothache that cursed me and my sleep for 3 straight days. ( i had a dentist appointment booked ...TWO WEEKS AFTER). The product works for the first 10 -20 mins and there on after i could still feel a pulsing pain. The only way it had completely gotten rid of the pain is if i had taken 1 paracetamol and ibuprofen in combination with this. It is a great temporary fix but do NOT rely solely on it as the best solution to a killer toothache is the dentist.
