Ross Henery Professional Eclipse 9 Piece Chefs Knife Set with Carry Case in Stainless Steel

Despite some of the reviews for these knives I bought them, they were delivered well ahead of the expected delivery date, they were well packaged in a smart, zipped retainer, I was looking for some of the complaints that have been raised in other reviews, in my opinion the case it's self was fine, the zip worked well and yes there were a few lose ends of the cotton stitching, and there were a couple of the retaining straps that were broken - for 'broken' read CUT. The truth is the straps were cut by the knives that they were holding, yes they were that sharp, so can we put the packaging to bed now as that is not what I was interested in, I bought a set of knives! 9 individual working utensils each with their own use, well made and superbly balanced, each edge is triple hardened and trust me, you can tell the difference. The set comprises of, a general purpose knife, a carving knife and fork, a paring knife, a boning knife, a chefs knife, a bread knife, a clever and a steel, all the knives an amateur or professional could need. Having used them for a while now I feel confident and comfortable handling each knife, the cut is easy and effortless nothing seems to be a problem for the blades, the hardened edges retain their sharpness even when they hit my glass cutting board (many knives have been dulled by this). One major point is that the blades are solid, some so called professional knives on the market have holes on them or fancy designs, this is a food and germ trap, these solid blades are hygienic and easy to to clean and you can see they are clean, I feel this is very important. The clever is a delight to use, it fits the hand comfortably and works well at all angles, I have always used a clever on a regular basis but this on is exceptional, the only part of the set I have yet to use is the steel, I have had my steel for a number of years now, it does what I want and I have difficulty in using another one purely because I don't need to. In summary if you are looking for a professional quality set of every day kitchen knives then this set is hard to beat, I have seen chefs spend hundreds of pounds on a couple of knives that do not feel or cut any better than these, and at this price my opinion is they are a bargain.

Great knifes for my kitchen ( proffecial) loved how sharp right out box ready to use lovely box with leather very functionally very balanced simple one of the best sets of knifes I've brought been using it heavily today and hands down I'm impressed great for professional kitchens or home cooking

So far so good. Very very sharp. I use mine daily at work and so far I've not had to sharpen any of them. Cut is nice and clean which is good when cutting pastries. Weight for me is almost perfect. As for the longevity I have no idea as I've not had them that long. The only thing I would say is be very careful when cleaning them because there is a good chance you could cut yourself. But great value for money and quality. Highly recommend.

When I tell you these knives are worth the money and I feel like they’re way more expensive than the price I paid the value of these knives are great and a licensed certified chef and the way I was able to chop the chicken through the bone I love these knives I love them
