Brilliant album full of classic tracks from the King of pop's little sis! Great voice too!

All the hits, with some nice surprises
This is an a&m release, which explains why a large bulk of the material is comprised of the Control' and 'Rhythm Nation' hits. The two tracks which open and close this collection, were new at the time. The real treats are 'the best things in life are free' and 'whoops now', which are exclusive to this UK edition (the former is the house version without the rap). Some of these songs are edited and others are unfortunately taken directly from the albums, and are overlong as a result. Some are even single remixes. The random order of the songs give it some variety. 9 tracks on each side, which is like two albums for the price of one. The cassette inlay folds out and features a detailed essay about janet's career, with comments from the woman herself. Photos, song credits, and a couple of lyrics are also here. Overall 'design of a decade' captures janet's attitude, humour, and energy. Lyrically and vocally adventurous. The best of the best with little filler. Can't go wrong with this!
