Reflective Backpack Cover – High-Vis, Waterproof & Weatherproof – Made with 3M Scotchlite

I got the silver triangle one in standard size (up to 36L) and it has super high reflectivity. I feel seen at night! It has protected my backpack from light drizzle and moderate rain. I have a Fjallräven Kånken 17" laptop bag (20L) and the standard size rain cover fits perfectly. My laptop and iPad were protected when I walked short distances, up to 10 minutes between classroom buildings (never tried walking longer than that in the rain with a laptop). Silver triangle version doesn't have the mesh pocket, but it has the Salzmann logo which can be used as a loop for carabiner attachment. There are two elastic straps that can be buckled and tightened to keep the rain cover snug against your backpack. There is a loop that you thread the top strap through (if you want) to keep it extra, extra secure. If I want easy access to my backpack, I leave the top strap unthreaded so I can just stretch the elastic around the cover and pull the rain cover back to expose the top of my backpack. This is a very cheap investment that protects my expensive electronics from the elements without having to buy a fancy waterproof backpack. Added bonus that I am very visible at night when returning home at the end of my commute. Highly recommend using this reflective rain cover even when there's no precipitation!

Can I give this 10 stars? I got this to put over my FENRUIEN 17.3-Inch Hard Shell Laptop Backpack just in case I got stuck in a downpour or had to walk home in the dark in the winter. Wow is the white triangle cover really, really, really reflective! It picks up any light and just glows like you’ve got some alien light on you! I was standing at an unsafe dark bus stop on the side of an extremely busy street and normally buses just whiz by you if they don’t see you and don’t flag them down first. Every bus stopped without me even flagging them (even buses I didn’t need!) & asked if I needed the ride because they could see this reflection at this very dark stop. I also had to walk a mile in the dark up a dimly lit street with cars driving by, and I could tell they were actively avoiding me once their headlights hit the reflective cover. It’s easy to slip on and off and stays on with two adjustable snaps straps and elastic opening, but depending on the backpack’s style it might conflict with the straps (but if it’s rain you’re worried about, the top of the backpack will be covered if you strap it criss-cross maybe). It’s easy to scrunch or fold up and tuck into your backpack when done (about the size of a med-lg coffee paper cup). It should fit over a soft baggy backpack easily, fits my hard shell perfect. If you need one for a bike/scooter ride or jog or fishing - If you want to be seen, I cannot recommend this one enough! The best thing is it doesn’t need batteries like some LED harnesses or bike lights do (obey state laws on bicycle lights please, this is not a replacement for lights that help you see or others see you, it just REALLY helps others see YOU. It does not give off light like a flashlight.)

This is truly a great product! I immediately noticed that cars gave me a more space while riding my bike the first time I put this over my bag. It's honestly brighter than my headlight on my bike when light is shinning on it. I've worn it in heavy rain and snow and it has kept my bag dry underneath. My only gripe is that it got caught in a locker at work and tore very easily, but that's more my fault than the cover's. I've had zero problems with the seams coming apart like mentioned in other reviews.

Used this backpack cover consistently for 2.5 years—rain, sleet, city grit, the whole shebang. The fabric finally gave out today, tearing after becoming oddly dry and papery (maybe there’s a way to prevent that, but I didn’t baby it). That said, I really put it through the wringer. What impressed me most? The reflective coating never faded—not even a little. Still lights up like a neon sign when headlights hit it. Waterproofing held strong the entire time, and the buckles stayed functional and intact. All in all, for the price, it’s a solid buy. I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a no-frills, high-visibility, weatherproof backpack cover that can take a beating.

I have what I believe to have an average sized backpack. It can fit up to 17 inch laptop, iPad, kindle, water bottle, and extras from shopping from the day. Comparable to a diaper bag backpack I see often. I bought the XL and it fits with a little wiggle room. While I could guess that the L could stretch and fit, for reflective fabric that is often fragile, I prefer the xl size. I've attached photos, next to a gallon water jug for comparison, of my backpack filled to it's usual capacity (for touristing all day with 2 elementary aged kids) in NYC. I bought this after being surprised how not waterproof my pack was. This thing is great! It's highly reflective (which is awesome since I'm guilty of wearing all black and being hard to see at night), and comes delivered in a sturdy Ziploc bag, that I recommend folks hold onto so you can tuck the cover away while indoors without getting your things wet. The price is really fantastic too.

This fit my 40liter REI women’s backpack perfectly.

Tout d abord il faut préciser que cette housse est de bonne qualité au niveau d imperméabilité et étanchéité.. Je ne sais pas pourquoi certains clients ont confirmé , dans les questions-réponses ou dans leur avis, de l imperméabilité de cette housse mais pas d étanchéité... Comme vous le verrez dans la vidéo que j ai mise et les photos, cette housse est également étanche... Je l ai testé pendant 1 heure.... En y remplissant de l eau... Et aucune fuite... Oui je l ai testé pendant une heure... Donc c est étanche... Un autre point j adore la visibilité de cette housse... Comme vous le verrez sur la photo elle est totalement réfléchissante.... Sur ce point elle a un vrai avantage par rapport aux autres housses qui ont une bande réfléchissante uniquement... Troisième point cette housse a deux boucles pour l attacher à votre sac et donc vous ne craindrez pas le vent etc... Et l attachement de ces boucles à la housse est plus élégant grâce au bouts noir de cuir/ou demi cuir/ou fausse cuir... Concernant la solidité je n ai pas beaucoup testé mais dans les mains elle a l air solide... Et le tissu est très agréable à toucher... Un seul bémol (mais peut être c est à cause de mon sac à dos de photo) c est que la taille (40-50L) ne couvre pas 100 pour 100 le bas du sac... Mais cela n empêche pas du tout la protection de pluie etc... Et surtout les 5 étoiles C est pour le service après vente... Très sympa, très professionnel, se souciant de la satisfaction des clients... Voilà. Si cela vous êtes utile n hésitez pas de mettre un "oui"... Merci par avance et cordialement

De kleinere variant gekocht voor de rugzak van mijn vrouw en super mooie hoes. Voor mijzelf de XL versie aangekocht voor mijn Ortlieb Velocity 29 rugzak. De Ortlieb is waterdicht, maar ik heb de hoes vooral gekocht voor de veiligheid (zichtbaarheid) tijdens het fietsen in de donkere dagen van het jaar. Super reflecterend en dus extra zichtbaar voor het andere verkeer op de weg. Ik twijfelde of de XL variant groot genoeg was maar hij is zeker groot genoeg.

This is a great backpack cover. It keeps my backpack dry and clean and most importantly it is reflective. This is a great feature when it’s dark out. It helps to make you more visible to drivers whether you’re on a bike, scooter, or just walking. The price might seem a bit high but it’s worth it!
