Therefore, please bypass the previous (ignorantly) posted review about these pocket folding shears not being heavy duty - they were NOT meant to be “heavy duty”, and there are NO claims of “heavy duty” capabilities anywhere within the product description. This pocket-sized, folding shears work exactly as intended throughout the realm of crafting, journaling, and various stationery-related activities. It is compact, operable with one had for quick deployment or speedy storage. The unit fits in your pocket, has an integrated loop that is convenient for mounting onto a keychain, lanyard, or maybe a soft material tether. The housing isn’t comprised of any kind of expensive, dense plastic material, but it is sturdy nonetheless. The blades are lubricated for long-term use with a very sharp, spring-loaded blade, and the stationary blade is sharp enough to cut through packing tape on packages, and soft enough to not cut you should it be accidentally be left partially deployed.
