No RAID
SY-PEX40171 "MV 4-Port RAID" has no built-in RAID support. Misleading, mis-labeled. I installed and use this card, it is an ordinary Marvell SATA 4 port card. It has no RAID support. It is true you can use software redundancy with it, but that's true of all SATA drives and expansion cards. I also had to go find the drivers for Marvel 921x 923x manually on Windows 11 and reboot for it to be recognized properly. Moving the jumper from BIOS to UEFI was also required. Mine arrived with no documentation. The IO Crest Sybex support page lacks a software driver. It has 4 built-in drive activity LED lights which is helpful. If it wasn't for the mis-leading labelling and product summary text, I'd rate it highly.

WORKS GREAT!
I have it in a Windows 7 box with 4 7.2k RPM 4TB drives connected. Windows now sees all the drives as 4TB and it's working great.

If I remember correctly... WORTHLESS, relying on WINDOWS SOFTWARE RAID.
This was about a year ago. This "RAID" device relied on the "WINDOWS" SOFTWARE RAID. WORTHLESS!!! NOT A TRUE "RAID" card!!
