I had a need to install a Grease Trap in a new small kitchen, I had never used one before. After the install and the kitchen started to be used, I ignored the grease trap for several months after finishing the renovation -- big mistake! The grease build-up was intenseness... I had to pump it all out with my Wet/Dry Shop Vac and wipe it all clean, a disgusting job! After some research I found these Grease Trap Tablets by Beseder. I have been using them for 14 weeks now, and the difference is night and day! Instead of the disgusting grease, I can see evidence of the broken down tablet from the bright yellow color, and the grease build-up is all broken down. For my usage, I could probably do nothing at all except add a new tablet... The company says to add a new tablet every 2-4 weeks depending on your needs. My grease trap is small and use is relatively low (cooking for just 1 person), so instead of putting a whole tablet once per month, I cut up a tablet into quarters (very easy to cut with a kitchen knife) and add a quarter tablet every week -- that way the whole tablet won't dissolve all the way prior to the end of the month. I think this usage will prolong how long the box of tablets will last, making them very good value indeed. I recommend giving them a go!

Using these with our grease trap and it seems to be doing the job. No more monthly pipe cleaning and the sink keeps working. That is a win!

This lasts 2 months in my septic tank which is double the time of my usual maintenance cleaner. It does cost twice as much so it really isn't a savings. It needs to set in 10 liters of water for 6 hours before going into the septic tank. This is something that my regular maintenance cleaner doesn't require. Overall, it requires more money and work than what I normally use so I won't use this again.
