Great Product
Works great! It is very easy to troubleshoot and install and it is a great price for a managed switch. It is nice quality made out of metal. It can handle a beating.

Solid value for the money.
Solid little gigabit switch with just enough “smart” features to be useful. Out of the box it works exactly like a normal unmanaged switch — plug it in and it just works. If you want VLANs or basic QoS, those are available through the web interface without being overly complicated. The one thing I’d recommend right away is updating the firmware. The update itself is easy, but the file you download comes as a ZIP and you need to extract it first — the switch only accepts the .bin file. That tripped me up for a minute. Accessing the web interface was straightforward once I checked my router’s DHCP list for the IP. There’s a Windows discovery tool, but I didn’t need it. Performance has been solid and it’s completely silent. The metal housing feels decent for the price and it runs cool. Pros Works immediately as a plug-and-play switch Stable gigabit performance Silent (no fan) Simple web interface Useful features like VLANs without being complicated Cons Firmware updates are manual (no automatic update) Firmware download requires extracting a ZIP file first Discovery tool is Windows-only Bottom line If you want a reliable basic switch with a little extra control when you need it, this is a great option. It works perfectly as a “dumb” switch but gives you room to grow later.

Reliable backbone for busy office setup
I recently added this managed network switch to my office to handle a mix of PCs, a laptop, a couple of game consoles, and even smart TVs—and it’s been an absolute game changer. Performance & Stability: The switch keeps everything running smoothly without any noticeable lag or bottlenecking. Gaming and streaming run flawlessly, even when other devices are pulling heavy traffic. Management Features: Having a managed switch means I can set up VLANs, prioritize traffic, and monitor network performance. Being able to give priority to my work devices during the day while letting the consoles and TVs run off lower priority settings is a real advantage. Build & Setup: Solid metal housing, fan isn’t loud, and plenty of ports. The web interface took a little learning curve, but once I got through it, the control was worth it. Future-Proofing: With both gigabit speed and flexible management options, this switch ensures my office network can expand without a problem. Overall, this is more than just a plug-and-play switch—it gives me the stability and control to keep a busy office (and entertainment setup) running at full speed. Highly recommended if you’ve outgrown a basic unmanaged switch and want something that can scale with you.

Finally, an affordable, next-level, production-grade Gigabit Networking Switch.
Finally, an affordable, next-level, production-grade Gigabit Networking Switch. I've had this switch for about a week now and just in that week alone I give it a full 5/5 stars. To better explain why: Without the ability to use VLANs prior to getting this switch, I risked non-isolated security standards. I now have the capability to connect each of my networked devices together, all in their own environment. Assigning VLANs is super easy using the User Interface on my local network, running on the switch. It's a nice plug-and-play UI that works out of the box with the switch. The size of the switch makes it super easy to integrate into even the bulkiest of home-labs; you'll be re-thinking your entire networking setup. One thing I've noticed is that the metal is extremely well-constructed and allows long-term use with minimal wear-and-tear over time. The fact that it distributes almost no heat even when in full use and fully-connected, is beyond my expectations for the price of this switch. It's nice to have a sturdy, reliable, and quiet switch that seamlessly integrates into my setup. Speaking of reliability and stability, it has saved me a few times having an actual interface I can access in the event I mess something up on one of the main devices connected to it; thus affecting other networking equipment. This works as a fallback in case I need to undo any changes you couldn't otherwise undo. I can sleep at night -- figurative and literally, knowing my network is secure from malicious attackers, and because the temperature/heat doesn't affect my small space at all; and noise is not being generated whatsoever. No fan, no noise! Heat sync does its job flawlessly.

Great hardware, smooth GUI, great for small-medium homelabs. Would recomend.
Well built high quality network switch. Compact and has a semi-gloss black powder-coat. Very easy to use, has a surprisingly smooth and in-depth GUI. Lots of powerful features like QOS, port mirroring and a cable test. Asks kindly if you want to register (completely optional) and never pesters you again. Couldn't get a port scan fingerprint so that's good. No SSH or CLI but not a big deal. Set it, forget it, exactly what a good switch does.

layer 2 features only
Product works as intended. Only reason I gave 4 stars is because nowhere in the description does it mention that this is a layer 2 managed switch (though the price should've been a give away). VLAN management is port-based (not IP-based). There are no layer 3, IP-based management features.

Rock solid switch — great for network upgrades with lots of options
Picked this up on sale and it has been rock solid. Great for network upgrades with plenty of options and settings to dial things in. A solid managed switch for the price.

Good switch and easy to use/install
It's a swtich...it does what it should do. It allows me to add more networked based products in my office which is very helpful. I have one of these in my basement for all the network drops throughout my home. I just needed more in my office for stuff like my printer, PC, and a few other things and 1 port on the wall wasn't going to cut it. Netgear has always been a solid company for my needs so happy with purchase.
