This pouring shield fits my KitchenAid tilt-head 4.5–5QT mixer perfectly and works exactly as described. The stainless steel feels sturdy and high quality, not flimsy like some plastic ones. It snaps on easily and stays in place while mixing, which really helps prevent splashes and messes. The pour spout is wide enough to add ingredients smoothly without stopping the mixer. This works perfectly and helps to prevent the mess of ingredients splashing out when running the mixer. Just make sure that the shield is oriented so the pouring spout is completely closed. Saved me a lot of cleanup and easy to wash the shield. This one feels more sturdy than the one I had years ago, and fits my mixer just fine.

Good quality, durable and great value for the money. I always make such a mess when I'm adding flour to my running stand mixer. I tried another shield but the opening was too big and still blew flour all over. I like that this one totally surrounds the bowl and the input flap works well. Easy to use and easy to clean.

These do the job preventing my thick hair from gumming up the drain. Only thing is gets mold underneath because my sink has rough edge underneath that also can get mold growing so I clean this drain cover frequently with my sink.

The simplest of gadgets sometimes elude me and I wonder how I got along without them. ~The pouring shield comes in two "attached" parts that are already together and then snap close on top of the bowl. ~The mixer head should be tilted up to make it easier to attach the shield. ~In the past I had always mixed whip cream on low so it would not spread all over. With the shield I am able to turn up to high and mix it faster. ~As one can see the collar definitely contains any overspray of food into the bowl while mixing. ~Pouring the whip cream into the bowl while whipping kept the food from spraying all over. ~I highly recommend this collar to help keep the area clean.

I have a 4.5 stainless steel bowl and it fits perfectly. Arrived in 2-3 days. The pouring aspect works great. No more flour on the counter.

I would say it definitely helps with splashing, but because the side spout is open it still splashes when you have liquids in there, for instance making butter. It does not fit perfectly, but good enough if you are not picky. I do like being able to just pour ingredients into the spout instead of having to turn it off.

This fit PERFECTLY! And I love the spout so it keeps everything inside the bowl! Very good quality plastic. Worth the money and is very easy to open and install on the mixer. Just got it today and can't wait to use it! Cleaned up very easily.

Love this product! Elevates the stand mixer experience. Sometimes it might slip but overall no complaints. Easy to clean and easy to use. A great accessory.

That pouring shield is just... a better design than the KitchenAid pouring shield, period. Making butter or other... "violent" recipes is just a breeze with this thing. I won't be clean the whole counter after a couple seconds of mixing ever again. You'd think these would come with the machine honestly.
