I’ve used a fair share of tripods over the years, but the Falcam TreeRoot 61” F38 Pro Carbon Fibre Tripod genuinely stands out. The build quality is immediately impressive. The carbon fiber legs feel solid yet lightweight, giving that perfect balance between stability and portability. Even when fully extended, there’s no noticeable flex or wobble, which says a lot about the engineering behind it. The 1/4-turn leg locks are one of my favorite features. They make setup incredibly fast and smooth, with each leg section sliding out effortlessly and locking securely in place. It’s the kind of small design choice that saves time and makes shooting more enjoyable. The center column is equally sturdy, and I appreciate that it doesn’t feel like a weak point as it often does on other tripods. Another great touch is the hidden metal spikes under the rubber feet. They come in handy on uneven or soft ground, and the way they’re integrated shows how much attention went into the details. Every part feels purposeful, from the materials to the ergonomics. In real-world use, it performs exactly as promised. Whether you’re shooting landscapes, macro work, or long exposures, it stays perfectly steady. It’s compact enough to carry around easily but still strong enough to handle heavier gear without any hesitation. Overall, the Falcam TreeRoot F38 Pro feels like a professional piece of equipment built for people who actually use their gear. It’s as good as everyone says, and for anyone who values reliability and smart design, this tripod delivers on every front.

Great tripod that is built from sturdy and lightweight carbon fibre. It comes with a F38 tripod plate but if you have a Peak Design plate (as I do and use for the peak design backpack clip) then that also works which is great so I don’t need to mess around switching plates. Size is very tall. For reference, I’m 5 foot 5 and the tripod extends so that it’s taller than me by quite a fair bit. But it also goes very low, you can invert the middle as well for very low shots. It’s versatile as you can use this for different type of shots, landscape it’s obviously great for that but also macro and getting very low down and close. Being lightweight means it’s practical. I take this with me on holiday and carried it around all day and whilst yes, I can tell I’m carrying it, it wasn’t too heavy. Great value for money as well as it’s just very well made and I’m really enjoying using it.

Great tripod. Quality construction and innovative design. Very steady and a good max height. The head is great. You can snap the mounting plate in and release it easily. You have to watch the YouTube videos for all the details. There is an earlier version for a fair bit less but rather than settle it's better to spend the extra for this one as it's superior in many ways. The only knock against it is the price, ouch! It's something that you will have for a long time and since it's so compact, lightweight and quick to set up you are more likely to take it with you and use it.

Helaas volledig met eigen geld betaald. Had eerst de Peak Design aluminium tripod, maar merkte toch dat deze qua stabiliteit niet erg stevig was. Deze Treeroot is dat absoluut wel. Ook de ballhead is met de pan-functie geweldig. De F38 accepteert bijna alle plates. Aan te raden is om hierbij ook de F22-F38 MagSafe houder bij te kopen Als laatste is het super handig dat de center column zonder gereedschap te verwijderen is. De tripod is niet goedkoop, maar wel de allerbeste die je kunt kopen!
