All Purpose Cleaner and Degreaser Concentrate Engine Cleaner 1L | Car Cleaner Industrial Strength, Concentrated Formula Can be Diluted Down-Tough on Dirt but Easy on Your Car

This is going to be a long detailed review of two products, trust me its going to be worth reading. 1)Wavex All Purpose Cleaner and Degreaser Concentrate. 2) Wavex Silicone Emulsion 1L | All in One Universal Polish. I have a 2003 Hyundai Accent petrol model car and the engine bay needed an urgent overhaul, it was a complete dirt and greasy grime mess. After researching a lot for a proper engine degreaser, i finalized Wavex All Purpose Cleaner and Degreaser Concentrate, this product worked exactly as advertised. It took out all the engine compartment oil stains, grime and all the greasy oil like blackness like a piece of cake. Before i cleaned the engine bay, the inside of the front bonnet was completely in black oily stains, i covered the entire engine with a plastic sheet just to make sure the degreaser didn't leaked directly onto the engine when i sprayed the degreaser on the bonnet. After spraying Wavex All Purpose Cleaner and Degreaser Concentrate on the inside of the bonnet, i left it for few minutes then used a medium sized brush to rub and clean the stains, when it started to dry, i sprayed again and brush cleaned the bonnet at the same time, then used a separate new sprayer bottle, filled it with normal tap water and sprayed a generous amount of water on the bonnet, wiped it clean and dry with a new micro fiber towel, repeated the water spray again and wiped it dry with the towel. Bonnet looked extremely clean like brand new. The covering of the engine with the plastic sheet helped in avoiding the water and the degreaser falling directly on the engine. Coming to cleaning the engine bay, make sure to have a small and a medium sized detailing or piant brush to wash after spraying the product all over the engine bay. I am no expert at detailing, but for my own safety, i made sure i didn't sprayed Wavex All Purpose Cleaner and Degreaser Concentrate near the spark plugs, on the alternator and also where the ignition coils are located. Also i disconnected the battery and took it completely outside. Sprayed a little amount of Degreaser, waited for a minute and then i brushed washed the parts and also sprayed it again if the Degreaser dried while washing. Also i don't have a pressure washer nor did i used any waterhose/pipe to wash of the degreaser. I simply used the previous normal water sprayer bottle and sprayed a generous amount of water all over the engine while avoiding spraying water at places which i avoided first at the time of spraying the degreaser. Then simply used a micro fiber towel and wiped it dry, then sprayed water again and then wiped it dry again with the towel. It completely transformed my engine bay. Went from ugly dirty to fresh clean looking engine bay. After all this, still i wasn't completely satisfied with the result, especially on the black plastic surfaces and coolent rubber pipes. No doubt they looked completely clean after the degreaser wash but still it was missing the blackness and the shine. So i did some more research and came across another product from Wavex. Wavex Silicone Emulsion All in One Universal Polish. I ordered it and applied it on the parts which looked a bit dull. Parts like the air filter box, blower/ radiator pipes, fusebox, engine head, spark plug wires etc etc. This product just brought back life in those parts, they looked brand new, looked extra black and shined like new parts. I would definitely recommend Wavex All Purpose Cleaner and Degreaser Concentrate to everyone but at the same time i would recommend them to use Wavex Silicone Emulsion All in One Universal Polish to achieve a complete 100% fully fresh clean engine bay. Also note the exact process of using the Wavex All Purpose Cleaner and Degreaser Concentrate, buy one sprayer bottle, pour one part of degreaser liquid and five parts of normal tap water in the sprayer bottle and spray it on the engine bay. The next product Wavex Silicone Emulsion All in One Universal Polish, is simple to use. Buy a normal sponge, dab little amouts of silicone polish and then spread it with the sponge, wait for a few minutes and then wipe it with a clean micro fiber towel (no need for extra pressure while wiping). Before starting the engine, again for my own satisfaction i used a PC blow dryer and blowed air all over the engine, especially at the spark plug areas and fuse box just in case if there was any water left in those critical areas. This step can be skipped if you are sure that your engine is completely dry. This is how i achieved results to my satisfaction, hope my review and the procedure help others to use the product in an effective way to achieve their desired results.

This is a great degreaser! I used it to clean oil buildup on my kitchen cabinets, and it worked easily. It cleaned about 90% of the panel perfectly. I diluted the solution in an old spray bottle using 2 cups of the cleaner with 250ml of water.

Cheap but very good degreaser. Dont waste money on other specialized degreasers. Rather get the ratios right and make a cheaper degreaser solution which will definitely provide par, if not a better result, when compared to those costly degreaser.

Doesn’t actually remove entirely needs lot of scrubbing…can try vinegar instead I believe
