I Initially bought Hygger lights for my new 60-gallon planted axolotl tank and a 10-gallon planted fish tank. However, a good friend of mine, who breeds fish, recommended these lights instead, claiming his plants thrive much better under them. Trusting his expertise, I made the switch, and I'm pleased to say I wasn't disappointed. Pros: These lights are incredibly bright, and all the plants in my tanks are thriving! I appreciate the ramp-up and ramp-down feature that allows for a gradual transition, preventing sudden bursts of light. The setup was simple and straightforward, and I have created four different lighting scenarios with varying intensities for each day. Cons: The lights operate solely via Bluetooth, but they can still follow their programmed cycles even without a Bluetooth connection from my phone. I would love to see a Wi-Fi version in the future, as well as an option to switch from a 24-hour to a 12-hour time format. Overall, I’m very satisfied with these lights and highly recommend them for anyone looking for an easy-to-use lighting solution that promotes healthy plant growth. Bonus: I reached out to customer support once and was impressed with how quickly they responded and resolved my issue. Excellent customer service!

Power pack can’t handle the amount of power being drawn for the light. Because of this, the power pack over heats and the saunter melts. I started smelling a burning smell while I was upstairs and rushed downstairs to find the plug smoking!!! The pins on the plug came loose and it was about to burst into flames!!! If I hadn’t been home, it could’ve burned my damned house down!!! I tried reaching out to the contact person, Fuquan Lu, via Facebook since that’s where he wanted me to contact him. After explaining the problem, he blocked me on messenger. DO NOT BUY!!!

The app for setting the timer does not work at all it is there but it has bugs that need to be figured out! Also the power adapter gets extremely hot after accidentally leaving the light on for 24 hours. I went to check the reviews and saw a person actually had one catch on fire! The light itself is great but with these problems I would probably look for something else

This light is fantastic! My plants have finally started thriving! I’ve been through 4 lights for my tank. I couldn’t get my plants to grow, without having a ridiculous amount of algae. This light solves all my problems. The light is absolutely gorgeous! I love how it sits above the aquarium so I can have plants growing out of the water. My favorite thing about this light is the app. It’s phenomenal! I was able to connect the light to the app & set up a basic schedule in minutes. Now, it’s been a month or so and I’ve been able to go back to the app (whenever needed) and tweak the light color or strength. You can adjust the coloring to any color by playing with the amount of red, green, blue, or white. The app is super easy! The light actually changes color while you play with the app to adjust your schedule. This allows you to know exactly how bright (or exactly what tint) it will be at a certain time. When you get the entire 24 hour schedule set, it allows you to see a preview. It speeds through your 24 hour settings. I love it! I have my lights dimmed in the middle of the afternoon which helps immensely to prevent algae. I’ve already purchased a second one of these lights. I will never use a different light again. If you notice my 2nd picture. It’s the main screen of my app. That shows my 2 separate lights. I chose which light I want to adjust & it takes me to those settings. Everything is beyond simple! It also has an automatic setting if you don’t want to adjust things yourself. I highly recommend this light!

The light didn't work with Bluetooth initially, after contacting customer service they resolved the issue quickly. The light is very bright ..great for my planted tank and the programmable time feature is great

Hard to beat the wattage for the price with a light that has the WRGB spectrum and an app to control it. App works better than expected, but could use a bit of work yet. They are working on some instructional videos that should help explain some things that are unclear. Packaging needs work, and they said they are addressing that as well. Time will tell on build quality, but in the meantime it’s working well. Some fit and finish items could be a bit better. The extension and stand/brackets aren’t too robust and the lens guard moves around and rattles a bit. It’s just lacking a bit of polish and sturdiness overall. Some whine from the power supply when dimming, further testing on that needed as the firmware update seemed to help there. Color looks really nice, and has full adjustability. It dips into the UV spectrum which is very cool. Just know a bit about UV and don’t stare directly into it. Same would go for any UV light. I like the color and coverage much better than my Fluvals and a lot cheaper and it’s not like Fluval is perfect on build either, I had one die on me. Overall I’m pleased and would get more at this price.

UPDAT: After one year the blue spectrum doesn’t work at all. Super bummed out. Blows my fluval plant 3.0 out of the water at only 60%. I’m buying another several for all of my tanks!

This light is great. Tanks that are wider often are difficult to light with a single strip light but the brightness and width of the Brite series solves that. I appreciate how the colors of my fish absolutely pop! I don't know if it's a coincidence but they spawned right after I put the light on. I'm considering swapping all my lights for Brite series now!
