Perfect fit for our stout, little guy. So comfortable, he naps in it. Yet, sturdy enough to get him through a day of outdoor adventures on the homestead. The reflective trim is quite vibrant even indoors. Definitely purchasing more for our other rescues!

I have a 3 month old yorkie who weights about 4.5 pounds and has a chest girth of about 12.5 inches. I tried a few other harnesses that were in his chest size range, but they didn't quite fit right, or were a pain to put on, adjust, and take off. This harness is excellent and the X-small size fits nicely. Pros: - Only have to place puppies front legs through holes, wrap around him, stick velcro together, and clip. Super easy. - The harness is very soft and has great padding throughout. The arm holes and around the neck have a little rounded padding piece that runs around the circumference of the holes to keep it soft and from rubbing too much. - The harness doesn't necessarily prevent your dog from pulling, but when he does he doesn't hurt his little throat. - There are 2 D hooks to put the leash through which helps keep the leash from falling off from one side or the other and pulling the harness with it. - It is easy to hand wash and air dry. Cons: - It isn't suffocating, but it probably could be a little more breathable. Not a big deal since I take it off of my dog every night. - The chest/neck area is a little big, but it doesn't seem to hinder my dog from sleeping or moving in any position that he wants. If this harness ever becomes worn out, or he outgrows it, I will definitely be purchasing a replacement.

I bought a small for my 7.5 pound toy poodle, which fits nicely around her chest and under her legs. And there's enough room on the velcro closure that it should still fit nicely when she gains a little weight. The quality of this seems nice. Stitching looks good, the padded areas are soft, but not mushy, and the reflective strip works well from what you can see of it with all that white fur. You can't really see the bone pattern well since it's small, but I bought it based on reviews for the padding and comfort. She doesn't mind stepping into this and seems to be rather comfortable. I like that the D rings are a little larger, because I had trouble attaching the larger safety strap from her car booster seat to her smaller harness, so this is a plus. Pleased with this harness so far, and she seems to approve as well. That's the opinion that really matters.

The harness is almost perfect. I went up to the XSmall because little guy was right on the max for the girth in the XXS. It does fit well, except the lock straps are a bit "loose" (do not hug the withers), due to having to wrap the velco tighter than a larger dog would need . This does keep the strap from being a tight fit in case of latch failure or velcro failure, BUT the harness construct should keep it together enough to get dog and fix the harness. I also plan on using a collar with and attachment connecting all D rings when hiking for added safety and security). That out of the way, this harness is a keeper! My boy loves this harness, it encourages him to walk beside me when I reel him in for heel practice (i use a 10 ft lead to walk him). It encourages him to not strain forward and pull BUT does not dig into his shoulders or chest. He actually "smiled" for the first time walking- head up, mouth open and relaxed and eyes bright. I do recommend this harness as it does NOT choke the dog when he does strain at the leash, easy on and off, double D rings to hook leash into makes it comfortable for the dog and doesnt pull harness sideways. Velco is sturdy and tight, the stitching on harness is excellent, everything looks amazing. I'd like to get a second one exactly the same type or perhaps a similar design in the future from this company

I have had a hard time finding a harness that is soft and comfortable, and that is also suitable for a longer dog and doesn't dig or cut in too close to his shoulders or under his armpits. I finally settled on this one, after having used several different brands/sizes. Pros: this is well made, very padded and very soft, and has a lot of velcro for adjustment so it can easily be loosened up if worn over a sweater or coat. My little dog is 17.5lbs. and has a 19" chest with no sweater on, but he wears sweaters in our frequent cold weather so I opted to go up to a Large size. The only con is that without a sweater on, the harness is sort of loose and baggy across the front of his shoulders, so I cinch up the velcro pretty snugly as I think that may create potential for him to back out of it. Overall, though, I would buy this again, and both of my little dogs have one! Update July 2025: I searched out and bought another of these harnesses because they are the best! My dog has very long hair and sheds like crazy - that hair finally clogged up the velcro on the old harness and I couldn't clean it anymore, hence the replacement. I love this harness!!

I like it BUT it's very pricy, the sizing is kind of off...7 month old chi/terrier mix ~10lbs, measures 15" girth, 11" neck. I went with XS size according to sizing chart posted. The neck opening is almost too big but it works, however, the girth seems kind of tight; have to match the Velcro up so only about 3/4" of the Velcro strips are actually together in order for it not to be too tight. I have to check the fit with my fingers to make sure it's not too tight and cutting off circulation and also make sure the Velcro strips stay together since only a small portion of them can be matched up. I suspect if I'd selected the Small size, neck opening would have been WAY too big but girth might have been a better fit. If the girth portion were longer and the Velcro strips longer, the harness would be more adjustable allowing snugness when pup is small with room for expansion as the pup grows...that would much better justify the $20 cost of the harness. I bought this because my tiny Chihuahua gets chilled easily He has had a safety green halter but it was too tight with a sweater on. I bought a size small instead of another extra small and it fits him and his sweaters just right. He can wear it without the sweater, too as it's construction doesn't let him wiggle out of it. Between the Velcro tapes, the plastic clip and the tough fabric, your dog cannot escape. I wrote this review four years ago, and I have come back to say that my dog, a Chihuahua/ Pomeranian mix, is still wearing the same harness that I bought then. There have been no raveling stitches, fading color, staining or problems with the hardware (the clip and rings). It has been muddy, dusty from his wanderings through grassy roadside places, and it has been rained on a number of times. It wiped clean with a damp paper towel or sprayed lightly with an all-purpose cleaner and a clean sponge. I love this harness and would highly recommend it to anyone with a dog. Because no matter how hard the dog pulls, he cannot escape, I would trust it for any size dog. Buy this harness for your dog!
