A complete guide
This is a great book. I just loved it.It gives you a complete guide about the diet, exercise and mental well practices you need to follow before, during and after pregnancy.

Rujuta Diwekar Zoombastic Form Continues ! Lifeline for all pregrant women !
There is always a great debate on " What grandmothers used to do and say , and our mothers listening to them and following them ". And they say that because of following olden days practices and methods of diet and nutrition they were able to give birth to healthy children who we are today . Ok , there is nothing wrong in that . But when such books are released in the market there are many controversies and unbearable tantrums which many people throw on especially women . Maybe its just a misunderstanding or misinterpretation , because of the content that some may not agree with, and also some women have their own personal opinion which do not match with the context . If we see a book like this which is from the most cosmopolitan lady author "Rujuta" there is no doubt that the book will be more than value for money. My sister got married 6 years back and still has not concieved due to various health concerns as the weather in US didnt go well with her . I bought this book for her and the reason why she told me to buy a book based on "Pregnancy" is becuase it is from this notable author . My sister followed all the rules and guidelines about health from her other books , and now almost she is in perfect in health . These days women want to eat a lot of junk foods and are literally addicted to it like alcohol. Eat them , but you also need to burn it ( oxidize it ) by spending time in gym ( treadmill etc) . Otherwise if you dont burn it it becomes dangerous turns into fat and puts your upcoming baby and pregnancy process in trouble !. The author has mentioned the exact time table for all the pregnant women saying what to eat , when to eat , and what not to eat . This book from the starting its like a course work that every student has to follow ( pregnant women) .If any women follows this process and all the stuff given in this book she is bound to have greatest baby in terms of the health and even the mother will be healthy for long long time . Therefore being a boy i myself is saying this, because even i have seen and read a lot of books on such genres and topics . As i have a sister , god has made me to take make the right choice by going with this author while the book is both balance of Traditional / Contemporary methods of health maintainence for pregnant women . Trust me this book is like an ultimate pregnancy kit for all women who are going to have kids in the near future . I am really looking forward to this author to write books on Mens health and health issues of men and how to deal with them . I salute this great author .. !!! :) :) :)

Some good advises
The diet advises and the approach of focussing on one thing each week is good. But not everything like preparing evening snacks is practical for working women.

Pregnancy Notes
I have read every book of Rujuta Diwekar. So here is my points on this book review. Everything is about food and pregnancy some topics covers homones and balance. I was expecting more about Exercise but definitely it covers a lot for someone who is already know about yoga, exercise and healthy living. But for beginners I think it's a briefing. Anyways that's what I think but overall book is definitely details about all trimester and you won't need other nutrition based book for your read. Also when you read it you will know that everything is normal and you can be at ease if anything is bothering you about pregnency. Rujuta is all about food and food knowledge as it comprises everything around you and me. She is definitely the grandmother you never had. I like how she writes about food and it's nutritional and hormonal background of it. I love about Cashew and milk idea for better sleep. Trust me it works atleast for me it works. Fun thing is I am reading it to get good idea about pregnency planning in the future. You should read it if you are planning as it covers most of the things why you should prepare in advance for your pregnancy. Overall it's a good book. I like every other book from Rujuta Ji. Thanks You for giving such a trusted manual.

Awesome book , must read!!
Thanks to Rujutha for a wonderful book and best pregnancy book I have read so far . I would recommend to all pregnant ladies . Hope you all enjoy it too

Too much food focused advise and poor language
At one point I started feeling overwhelmed. This book has a lot of food focused content. It says, pregnancy on the cover. I wouldn’t buy it if it read, ‚Food and Pregnancy’ or something similar which this book is all about. I cannot say it’s written from experience. It did not appeal to me in any way. Poor usage of the English language and the grammar.

Informative
The writing is not complicated and is easy to understand. The diet plans mentioned are easy to follow. Overall a good book to start with if you want to keep things simple.

Great Read for the busy modern woman
Being a fan of Rujutas basic mantra - eat a wholesome healthy diet while staying active, I was obviously curious about her thoughts on pregnancy diets, since I am in my third trimester. I love how Rujuta reinforces the importance of age old traditions from our mothers and grandmothers, but in a logical and scientific way. This was the most important take away for me and in general, the modern working women. I feel better about my food decisions now too, to choose laddoos and chakli over chocolate and icecream. To not feel guilty eating ghee based foods, but to control on processed biscuits and chips. It shows that one can indulge to their hearts content, but in the right way. We dont have to overthink our diet, our Indian heritage has taken care of this science for us, we should use it! After reading this book, I will very happily eat all of the post pregnancy foods that my mothers and aunts are going to make for me. Thanks Rujuta!

Awesome book to read for first timer. I think each women should own this book. It solves your questions about pregnancy as well as there are some tips which are recommended
