They are quite big, especially the shades and the lightbulbs are huge. They leave a sort of zig zag pattern on the shade. It looks pretty, but its different. The "brass" is a nice color gold, but on one of them, the gold paint is pushed down from the fixture and the black plastic underneath the paint the is revealed. It is mostly hidden by the shade and all other parts are perfectly painted.So between the zig zag pattern and the paint, I have taken one star off. I would have taken 1 1/2 stars off if I could, but this product is better than 3 stars, so I didn't.This is a genius way to add ambient light to cozy up your home. No need for electricians, no need to rip out walls.
