Indians (specially) need to understand that virginity and hymen are Not mutually interrelated. This discomfort goes away with use. No one is born using this product, we have to learn it and it takes time.2) the cup not opening properly:You only have to make sure that it covers the cervix, which it does if you rotate it 360 degrees for a couple of times. That's all.3) size problemsPlease be sure of the length of your vagina by inserting a finger before and after periods, this way, you'll be aware if your uterus tends to descend during the days of flow.4) leakagesIt is not supposed to leak, unless your vaginal​ walls are too lax, the L size is recommended in such a case. If they're tight, M would be better even for older women. The cup is fairly big and holds much more blood than an average tampon or sanitary pads. However in the initial days of use when you are not too comfortable with it, a pad along with the cup can be used as an added protection.5) StemThe stem is necessary to aid in removal, so I will not recommend to remove the stem completely if it protrudes out. Silky Cup is a really good alternative to pads and tampons and every woman should definitely give it a try. The usage is the tricky part where most of the women hesitate and it's understandable to feel so. However, once you follow the instructions given in the pamphlet, you should be good to go. A few things that I discovered while using the cup are as follows-1. It will take some time to adjust to having a silicone cup up your vaginal canal. Insertion can be a tough job if you are unable to understand the instructions given.2. There are 3 ways to fold the cup to make it more convenient for insertion. Make sure to try out all the folds and not exert yourself or your genitalia. Watch videos on YouTube to help you with the same. The standard fold, or the C/U fold did not work for me.3. The cup has a stem protruding at the bottom and it is safe to trim it off if you do not need it or if it sticks out of the canal and feels prickly or uncomfortable. However, make sure that you do not nick the cup while doing so. The reason that the stem may jut out despite inserting and fitting the cup properly is that, your cervix is probably placed low and so the cup cannot be fitted any higher up the vaginal canal. If that is the case, you can trim the stem and solve the problem since you won't be needing it anymore because your cup would be well within the reach of your fingers in order to be pulled out.
