XHDATA D-220 is a master blaster radio! Tiny but loud and clear on FM, MW and SW bands. But, after few day, stopped working on MW band and suddenly there is no sound. Sending back for replacement.

Small pocket radio runs on 2 AA batteries. Decent and adequate sound. Feels decent in hand, plastic quality okay for the price. AM, FM band works okay in Kolkata. SW can be tricky, use fine movements. Antenna is short and connecting a long wire gives better results in SW reception. Still working on the radio. Battery life is good so far. Update after using it for 2 / 3 months.

Amazing Sound quality, value for money, good appearance, amazing reception of FM and SW for both 10/10 MW reception is average in my area, after all everything is amazing.

XHdata D220 radio vs Prunus J166 radio ​After purchasing and comparing two popular portable radios, the Prunus J166 (for my bedroom) and the Xhdata D220 (for the kitchen), here is my quick breakdown. ​ ​The Xhdata D220 offers good loudness and sharpness, and its 4-band capability (including SW) is a nice feature. However, the major drawback is the annoying hiss sound that is constantly present when tuning the FM band, even in a strong signal area. I also found its build quality lacking compared to the Prunus. The Prunus J166 delivers a sweet, clean, and quality sound. Crucially, the sound remains clean and clear even while tuning FM, making it perfect for bedside listening. I also felt the build quality was superior. It features AM/FM bands only. ​My Verdict: ​If you prioritize sweet, clean audio, superior build quality, and clean FM tuning, I highly recommend the Prunus J166. If loudness and the inclusion of SW are your main needs, the Xhdata D220 will work, but be prepared for the tuning hiss sound. ​The Prunus J166 is the clear winner for me.

Not worth th price

I was looking for a quality pocket radio and I found the radio on Amazon. Xhdata 220 is a great little radio and it is highly recommended. Sound is up to the mark no complaints. However I cannot comment on battery life at the moment because I haven't used it for long hours to confirm the battery life. Overall a good quality product in my possession. Thanks to Amazon for marketing such a great product.

Beautiful metallic color of plastic. Good reception. It is a DSP radio, not analog ( old technology with digital chips) so slow moving of station gear gives stations/channels. Small handiness with good built gives edge in comparison to price.

cons: 1. manufacturing defect : screw to fitt backside of radio are missing both side as seen in video. 2. button for volume automatically increased volume even very light touch. 3. no garranty/ warranty available with product. 4. lots of gaps in body packaging we can see inside. 5. power light always on. pro. 1.very good plastic quality 2. volume is very large and clear 3. singal reception is good for fm and mw for near stations. 4.tuning slider is very good and steady. will update again after using few days.
