I like looking for quality knives and matches. This one came across in my search fot a good emergency kit machete. This one cuts through grass, bushes, brushes, plants like nothing. Goes through like a hot knife through butter. Weight is good balance is perfect. With a emergency kit this is Much better than the D3 steel one. Don't be fooled by steel nopes retoric. Every time i research this machete for use in the Forest or Woods, jingle Etc. its all very highly reviewed anf recommended. The 7cr13mov steel is heat tempered extremely well. Even a 1095 machete or an expensive $500 machete or a $200 esee machete or knife can break rather easily with a bad heat treatment. These have consistently been excellent!!!! I recommend this machete for jungle, woods desert or tall Grass Land areas of the world. Great machete and with gloves no Real blisters or hot spots. If an issue use Wilson wrap to smooth the rough areas of the hilt. Perfect balance and an amazing chopper. Highly recommend!!

The materials and workmanship are top notch. The stainless steel blade is1/4" thick and razor sharp. The leather sheath is beefy and well made. I would have expected to pay double the asking price for a kukri this nice! Look no further.

This kukri is heavy but does not have a full tang. It had a manufactured feel to it, as opposed to a forged-made product. I returned it.

Not one you want to carry in the city but makes a great survival knife while hunting. Fits the hand well and holds a edge very well.
