The 'Atlantic Chef Professional Cut/Angled Knife Blade Guard 1.5"x8.5"' is for 8-inch knives, may fit slightly longer ones, and is intended for those where the top section of the handle extends over the blade. It may not be a perfect match to any design but it will be an improvement upon the straight-cut version in some situations. The guard is a tight sliding fit onto the blade but it may not enclose the full width in each instance and does not need to; some knives owned are just over 50mm wide at their deepest. The guard covers the entire cutting edge, gripping tightly as the blade thickens.Useful if you do not use a knife block or have one but own additional knives as they protect against possible injury and protect the cutting edge from damage. The range is available in various lengths and depths to suit a wide range of knives of several brands.Inexpensive and vital if knives are kept in a drawer or on a worktop.
