I like the real-world examples and case studies that are used to aid in learning. It also humanizes the DSM V which let's face it, it very dry- as it should be. Comer did a wonderful job with the text and illustrations even using examples from pop culture, current media, TV shows/movies and famous people.

Excellent textbook

Very good compliment book to the DSM V
I really enjoyed reading Comer's book about abnormal psychology. This is an excellent real-world book to go along with a student reading the DSM V. I like the real-world examples and case studies that are used to aid in learning. It also humanizes the DSM V which let's face it, it very dry- as it should be. Comer did a wonderful job with the text and illustrations even using examples from pop culture, current media, TV shows/movies and famous people.

Loved it!
The book is very well written. Unlike other text book this one is actually quite fun to read, very engaging. The text is not dry. The examples used are interesting and clear, the explanations are fantastic. Loved it!

I love it a lot
I love it a lot. I hate that i rented it though, I may go ahead and just by it later. The book gives a nice, clear introduction to all the disorders that are in it, so it makes it easier to do further research on them later when i need to.

Worth the purchase
I don't normally keep textbooks, but this one was so well-written and had so much good information on it that I couldn't give it away. I still reference it for other classes. I would recommend renting other books, but not this one.
