The scanner itself is really light and it is really portable it only needs to be powered by a USBC cord which you can plug in directly to your laptop or PC. if your device dose not have a USBC port you can 1. buy a adapter or 2. Buy a USBC to USBA cable which is what I did. Just be aware that the unit dose not come with another cord besides a USBC.
