Must-Have Add-On for Pool Deck Safety — Subtle Grip, No Ugly Grit
I used this Armor Fine Non-Slip Additive when sealing my stamped concrete pool patio with Armor AR350, and it was the perfect finishing touch. The stamped surface looks great when sealed, but it can get slick when wet — especially with kids and guests walking around the pool. This additive gave me the peace of mind I was looking for without ruining the aesthetics of the wet-look finish. Mixing it into the second coat of sealer was easy. I followed the recommended ratio, stirred it in directly into my roller pan, and kept it agitated between passes to keep the particles suspended. It rolled on smooth with the Armor AR350 and didn’t clump, streak, or cloud the surface. Once everything cured, the patio looked fantastic — the color deepened, the texture popped, and the non-slip feel was just right. You can’t see the additive at all, but you can feel a subtle grip when walking barefoot or in pool shoes. It added exactly the kind of safety I wanted without compromising the look. If you're sealing a pool deck, patio, or any stamped concrete around water, don’t skip this step. The fine grit is invisible but effective, and far superior to the coarse additives that leave a gritty or sandpaper-like finish. It blends beautifully, feels natural underfoot, and adds essential traction without drawing attention. It’s cheap insurance against slips and gives your sealer a professional, safe finish. I’ll never seal a wet-area surface again without it.

Perfect for adding slip resistance.
I purchased this non slip additive to add to Foundation Armor’s AR350 which I used to seal my entire driveway, porch and sidewalk. My poured concrete is all 8 years old, broom finished and previously unsealed. In the photo you can see my untreated driveway and my porch 48 hours after the second coat of AR350 with non slip additive. I love how the AR350 darkened the “wet look” of the concrete but I digress, this review is about the nonslip additive! I used the method of adding the nonslip to the sealer (for the second coat only) and mixing with an attachment on my drill motor. I used the nonslip on my porch, sidesteps and sidewalks. Ultimately I did not use the nonslip on my driveway as the AR350’s finish was far less slippery than I feared it would be. I think the non slip additive is perfect for trip-prone areas like steps or sidewalks and works great.

Works great!!!
I seal our stamped concrete patio every year. When it was wet, it was darn-near like walking on ice. I gave this a try. Is it really expensive sand? Yes, but it is VERY fine. Does it work well? Definitely! It didn't affect the look of the patio at all, but now it's like the bottom of your shoe is glued to the patio when it's wet. The directions say to mix the whole bottle into a 5 gallon bucket of sealer. I use the Foundation Shield AR350, but I didn't want to pop open the whole bucket top to add the additive to the sealer....I roll the sealer on with an 18" roller, so I poured some sealer into the roller tray, poured a bit of the additive in to the tray and mixed it up with a paint stirring stick. It worked great! Highly recommended!

So so results
Tried 2 different ways to apply this product. 1. Spread it by hand during a second application of concrete sealer...kinda worked but hard to get 100% coverage on the sidewalk or patio. 2. put it in the tank sprayer...this was a complete failure. Clogged up the sprayer.

Adds grip to smooth cement.
Adds a noticeable grip to the cement. Not painful to stand on. Applied on top of wet second coat and rolled back over it. Simple to add to cement sealer for some added grip. Use was for a pool deck.

This additive works great
Used this additive along with the Foundation Armor sealer. The additive worked great, and it made the concrete non-slippery. Very easy to add to the sealer and apply. Highly recommend to make the concrete easy and safe to walk on.
