I was soooo EXCITED to get the "SINGOFIRE" 12-Notes Handpan Drums for Adults, 22-Inch 440Hz D Minor Kurd, Purple, UNTIL I went to play it, and I have to strike my fingers so HARD just to get any sound out of it and HURTS MY HANDS, ONLY way I can get really good sound is by using the Mallets, BUT the Mallets are so small for me to use so they are useless for me, it looks very BEAUTIFUL, and was very well packaged just not good sound to me, Not sure if others are having the same problem with there's or not. I was HOPING this one would be a great one for the money, BUT I guess I'm WRONG. Like the old saying goes, ((((YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR)))) ((SO TRUE TOO)). (RETURNING DUE TO (NOT) ABLE TO PLAY AT ALL, AND (NOT) GOING TO HAVE A BIG PAPER WEIGHT TO JUST LOOK AT) THIS DRUM IS (JUNK) IN MY EYES.

Handpan came to be desperately out of tune. I've been a musician for 37 years and to be honest I didn't even need my tuner to know. But, when I did check it's tuning I was amazed at how bad it was. Not a single note correct, overtones on harmonics incorrect, both even giving it about five cents leeway on mistuning. Absolutely terrible. Also, the reviews for this product contain text, video, and pictures of incorrect products like tongue drums and non 12 note handpans. Zero stars if possible. And if you're reading this MANUFACTURER, YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF!

There were lots of positive ratings in the pan listing; however, after close scrutiny I see they were mostly for other size pans, not for this specific item. Outer box was torn. Beautiful looking pan. Out of tune; lower notes had decent note sustainability; not so much for higher notes. Photo shows a D Minor Kurd tuning. There was no Bb3 note tuning. Pan tuning was closer to a D Celtic w/ different note placement. The D4 note was a second D3 note & the G4 note was a G#4. Required striking hard to get clear notes. There was pitting or rusting on the A4 note. Some concern about durability. Considering the price, this might be a 12 note pan (except pitting or rust) for someone who is just starting out or starting to expand their range of notes and not initially interested in public performances. Update: Rating increased from 2 to 4. Received a replacement in excellent condition. Well packed. Still some drifting on note tuning ... not precise, however very good resonance and reasonable price for a drum for which to practice.

I have been collecting small steel tongue drums for use with my elementary music classes. This one is a nice size, and I love that the pitch stickers were already attached, saving me a step! It came with a protective fabric drawstring bag, two small dowel rods, 2 mallet heads for the dowels, and a couple of other accessories I assume are a stand for the drum and a set of little mallet heads on bands that I think must be meant for placing on your fingertips, but I'm not sure. There is also a songbook with some tuning and troubleshooting tips if your drum arrives misshapen or dented. Mine arrived with no dents. The lower pitches sound pretty good, but Ti and high Do (pitches 7 & 1¹) are very murky. The correct pitches are in there, but there are lower non-harmonious pitches sounding alongside the correct notes on each. It's almost like overtones, but lower. Undertones?? I'm not sure. I am going to play around some more with the tuning helps in the songbook to see if I can get those pitches cleaned up a bit.
