Ninja Flip Toaster Oven & Air Fryer, 8-in-1, Stainless Steel, SP151

I absolutely love this Ninja Flip-Up Toaster Oven! It’s easy to use, heats quickly, and cooks everything evenly. The flip-up design is fantastic and saves valuable counter space. It’s perfect for toast, reheating, baking, air frying, and so much more. It looks great, works wonderfully, and has quickly become one of my favorite kitchen appliances. Definitely a 5-star purchase!

We love it. It is easy to use it is versatile the setting are great. It is fast. This air fryer has much better results than a conventional oven. Not having a microwave it is a wonderful alternative. The materials it is made of makes the flip onto its side to store easy and convenient. It fits a decent size pizza, a baking potato, and makes the most awesome French fries. The only drawback we have found is the amazon write-up says dishwasher safe. The booklet says it is dishwasher safe, but recommends the inside pieces to be hand washed. It was one of the appealing purchase features that helped with the decision of the one to pick, so I am disappointed on that sales point.

I have owned both versions of the Ninja Flip 8-in-one air fryer and after a month plus of using the new version in silver with the control panel at the bottom, I think it is a superior product. The new layout puts the controls under the heat generated by the oven and makes it less susceptible to heat damage. The older version with the black side panel and dial became difficult to use- the dial would not easily find the right setting over time. The new version has a more intuitive set of controls, with the addition of a pause button (Stop/Start) that is welcome. It is fractionally bigger but still tucks into a small space without overheating the area. Mine is atop my microwave (I needed to use an unrimmed sheet pan under it for stability), so no extra kitchen room needed. Cooking: This version makes better toast in a shorter time than the old version, about 2'30". Turning the bread over once can help with even browning and "grill marks". Broiling/roasting/baking/frying is easier, the pause button lets one open the door, pull the pan out, and move stuff around for more even cooking, and adding time or changing the temperature is intuitive and easy. Chicken thighs, for example, on air fry, come out with crisp skin and well-cooked through. Hash browns and French fries, using the mesh basket (with a silicone sheet on the rack below to catch crumbs or drips) are crisp and light with no more than a spray of oil. Size- I cook for myself and maybe a few guests, so I am able to use this air fryer for most cooking that would require an oven, and having it at eye level makes it a breeze to check as I cook. I fit a filet of salmon for 4 into it, and 4-6 chicken thighs or breast will fit too. The light- comes on in the last 30 seconds of cooking as before. If I press it while cooking it goes off after 30 seconds, a nice touch. It is very easy to clean- the window needs no more than a spritz of cleaner and a wipe, the crumb tray pops out easily, and so far I haven't needed to do more. I am left-handed so opening the door with my left hand is quite normal for me! I think the upgrade was well worth the money and it looks nicer too.

Genuinely great air fryer. Plenty of space, great for pizzas, and it saves a lot of countertop space with the flip feature. It looks sleek and has a nice light that turns on when the food is finishing up or when you press a button. I use it for a wide variety of food, including fish and meat, toast, vegetables, frozen chicken—you name it. it's been fantastic and very time efficient. Would recommend.

Ok, think of this as a 3.75 star review before I begin listing issues with this device. I really like the oven and air fryer functions on this device, a great way to cook anything from pizza, fries, baked potatoes, cakes, sausages, etc. It seems to cook them faster than my standard oven, and with a 90 second preheat, I often just put my food in while it preheats and cook it a minute less. It is so efficient, I couldn't possibly recommend it enough. That said, I do have some big complaints. First of all, I hate the interface being below the door; especially when the door opens by flipping it downward which will cover the interface every time you open it. I just wish it would have the interface somewhere, anywhere else. Second, if you open the door to do things like flipping food, the timer and heat does NOT pause the device at all. It's especially frustrating sometimes because if you open the door and forget to press the pause, the door covers up the interface and make it harder to just hit the pause button to make your adjustments quickly. I get normal ovens don't pause if you open the door either, but I would think this device could handle that function just fine. Finally, my third complaint is about the light. You press the button, and my light kicks on for about 20 seconds then shuts off. It has always done that, and while cooking... it works fine. The real problem with this light is when you must clean the oven. You're supposed to clean it every time you use it, so you will frequently touch cleaning up your machine if you use it often. I need the light to see the back of the machine and really get it cleaned up well; and it only stays on for a limited time is a hassle. Not only that, but the first complaint with the interface comes up once again. I will clean which will have my hand inside the unit often, so the door is open, when the light goes out, I must repress the button to turn on the light again. It is most frustrating when trying to clean this the fryer properly and I must hit the light constantly while pushing the door up enough to reach the button and turn it on again. I love the machine, but there is a somewhat mixed experience in my mind. If you can handle the complaints I have, you'll probably love it.

Despite having a low, sleek profile, the inside is surprisingly wide. It easily fits a full 12 inch pizza, six slices of toast, or a solid sheet pan of chicken and veggies. It heats up almost instantly and cooks fast, so you rarely have to wait around for preheating like you do with a conventional oven. The air fry and roast settings get food noticeably crispy without drying it out, and switching between the functions is very straightforward. The only real trade off to keep in mind is the vertical clearance inside. Because the oven is fairly shallow, you will not be able to roast a whole chicken or fit tall bakeware, but for flat sheet pan dinners, toast, reheating leftovers, and snacks, it is fantastic. If you have a smaller kitchen or just hate clutter on your counters, this easily replaces a toaster and a standalone air fryer without eating up your workspace.

We got this to replace an air fryer that took up a lot of counter space so I love the ability to free up some space when it’s not in use. The controls are easy to use and we are happy with how it functions. It feels like a quality unit. What I don’t love is how it “flips”. It literally just has two rockers on the back and that’s how it flips up. There are no locking mechanisms for safety.

It works well and I would recommend it. I have two now, as I liked the first one for my office kitchen as well. However! Watch out! The wire rack slides out, at at the half way point will tip down. Meaning..... whatever is on the rack tips down with it and thereby slides off, flips over and spills your entire pan meal onto the kitchen floor. AHHHH!! Seeing all those nice veggies and beautifully browned chicken on the floor is really sad. (from experience, the clean up took me 20 minutes and I had to remake dinner). But I like it, buy one, you won't be sorry, just watch out for that tipping point on the rack.

The Ninja Flip Toaster oven is very well designed! It has a relatively small counter footprint since it flips up, but accommodates a generous amount of food. Excellent for airfry roasted potatoes, and vegetables. Perfect for cooking just a few cookies, or crisping up something that got soggy in the microwave. Great for hot summer days as it heats up so quickly!
