Good, Solid, Earthy
I fell in love with Bacha coffee when I received a sample of their Sweet Mexico blend. I was delighted to see Bacha on Amazon, but this flavor was missing. So I went to Bacha's website and ordered directly from Paris. It's the same price, and there's free shipping for orders over $35. Wanting to get something quickly, I took a chance on this flavor to get something quickly while I waited for international shipping. At first, I was disappointed in this Papua New Guinea, as it seemed ordinary. Today, I made a cup (being more precise with my water) and was pleased. It's strong, not bitter and has depth. It's good but not stellar as I expected and not worth the cost. I cut open the individual serving packet and put the grounds in a cone filter in my "clever dripper," which I love. I don't know how they expect you to steep the coffee in their bag. The paper flaps make the bag sit high up on the cup. I suppose their bags are useful for travel. Although the coffee is pricy, at $2.25 per serving it's about the price a cup at a fast food place and way less than a cup at a popular coffee shop. And if you truly enjoy coffee, it's worth treating yourself to coffee that delights you. This coffee comes beautifully packaged and the box it's in can be re-used for other purposes. If you find a flavor you like and order the boxes with individually wrapped servings, they would make great gifts or stocking stuffers. In the meantime I'm enjoying the Sweet Mexico flavor and am eager to try more flavors from my international order.
