Works as stated but drivers needed
Unfortunately had to get the drivers and double install it. It 1st find the Asmedia drivers but fails to install the root hub (or secondary -> had to point at the drivers and do it the long way). Otherwise works good.

Startech never disappoints.
I think it is fair to say that anything made by Startech is going to be good, this USB3 card was no exception. I've used Startech products for over a decade and never once had to return one. Always good spec, always work.

Didnt work with HP Reverb G2
I have given 5 stars because it works as advertised, but unfortunately for me it is no good. I bought to use with a HPReverb G2, if you own one and are looking to buy this item it didn’t work for me, your milage may vary, but while i got picture through the headset the audio would switch off every 4-5 seconds. If you do own one you know that the G2 is very picky with usb ports. I did speed tests on the card and it worked as advertised with and without the extra sata power, so if you are looking to buy just for extra ports and not for use with a HP Reverb G2, then go ahead.

When fitted it said software not intended for this device. Hardly a good start is it. Returned for refund.
