This is kind of a must when carpet seaming. It doesn’t look like much but it makes a well glued seam look perfect. Something you can’t do with your hand or a brush. Run this across the seam back and forth and at differing angles and curves. Only takes a few seconds but any sign of a seam will vanish. Puts that final professional touch to a carpet seam. The roller fits perfectly in your hand, doesn’t slip and will last a very long time.

It works well "smoothing" the seam with some carpets, but I'm not convinced the extra width is necessary. I also detail cars, and this roller does a great job removing dry polish from a wool polishing pad.
