Well designed and effective tool!
This self-defense tool is well-designed and intuitive (though the user manual is not the best). After being physically incapacitated by a series of injuries, I realized the very real need to protect my family and home. I looked for several key features in my search for good self-defense tools: โข Ease of use: It needs to be intuitive and ready for quick use. This SABRE Home Defense Pepper Projectile Launcher checked the boxes. โข Effective: The sheer stopping power, LOUD noise, magazine capacity and pepper cloud range inspire confidence in the security of the tool. โข Accuracy: My wife and I are by no means marksmen but this tool was accurate when using the test rounds. โข Additional considerations: We have kids in the house so features like the grip safety are helpful. The pepper spray gel is also a nice add. All in all, this tool inspires confidence in security (though one we hope never to need!).

Built well, shoots straight
I was wanting a home defense weapon that was an alternative to a true firearm and this looked interesting to me. After getting it I realized it's quite large compared to what I'm used to firing but that hasn't been a problem at all while using it. In fact, it feels very secure in my hand and I feel confident it won't be easily taken out of my hand. The dummy rounds shoot straight and it wasn't difficult for me to hit a target 50 yards away, I can't speak to the pepper shots though as I still haven't used them. I also can't completely speak to how effective the pepper shots will be, but if they hold up to the Sabre standard for their pepper products, then they will work great when in need. Overall it's a well made item that is simple to use and a reliable product.

BIG. But functional
I realize this is the large size. But sometimes you get it and go "Wow...that's big". Smooth firing. Pretty accurate up to about 30 feet that I've tested. Just kind of fun to shoot. Pros: Easy to use. Has a grip safety to reduce misfires. Simple to load. Noise level is great (Just sounds like a big BB gun). Very sturdy construction. Cons: Loss of CO2: You have to make a choice. Load it and leave it fully loaded and ready to shoot (not safe), or lose all the CO2 in the chamber each time to drop the magazine. Difficult to find a good holster for it that you could carry with (again...BIG). One note about the pepper rounds. They are VERY fragile. Be careful when loading them up or your are going to have a bad moment in the kitchen lol

Good value
Bought it for road trip to California. (Their gun laws suck) Paired it with kinetic nylon projectiles. .68 cal at 300+ fps velocity for the first few rounds and diminishes slightly with each round as the co2 cartridge depletes. 7 round magazine. 1 co2 cartridge will launch about 3 full mags. Easy to load/reload. While it looks like a toy, it is a serious security piece when a firearm is not available. Decent quality. I'd recommend it. Just realize the limitations of less-lethal equipment. Cost is good compared to other similar equipment.

Safety
i can`t wait to see how wonderful it works. It looks easy to use and the carrying is the safety is the top priority and it has no leakage at all. I give it 100 perfect effective.

JUNK
This is JUNK!!! I purchased one and spent a day reading directions and watching videos and then doing it all again. It never fired, I tried multiple times and used up bot CO2's. I guess in a self defense situation you could throw it at your attacker or maybe buy a sling shot and try to use the pepper balls. This is very sad I was very excited when this POS arrived. It will be going back. I would try Byrna but it is way too expensive. Back to lethal for me.

Clever and reliable mechanical design but shoots 6 inches above POA at 10 yds, too big to carry
I serve as volunteer head of security at my synagogue and purchased this to see if it could be a viable non-lethal alternative to my firearm. I employ licensed armed guards outside the facility but am responsible for security inside. After purchasing the Sabre I compared it to other launchers on Amazon and, although far to big to carry conveniently, its detachable magazine and CO2 arrangement make it among the easiest to use of the bunch. The after-market holster from Sabre is completely useless for OWB but can serve for IWB if your pants and belt can be expanded sufficiently The Sabre's tendency is to shoot 6 in. above POA at 10 yds, even with optimum sight adjustment, which rules out its use for defense. I returned my launcher to Sabre to see if they could address the problem. They were very responsive but returned it unchanged saying that it functions as intended. Notably, NONE of the other launcher manufacturers is reported to provide any service at all, so Sabre is to be highly commended on this matter. As for the concept of using any launcher in conjunction with my security role, there are several YouTube videos wherein people shoot each other with solid projectiles to test their stopping power. These clearly show that, despite the intense pain, they will not likely stop or quickly disable a violent or deranged adversary. The OC pepper balls, on the other hand, whatever their stopping capacity may be, cannot be used indoors without having to vacate the hall or sanctuary for one or more hours after their use. The best recourse to terminate a violent attack without resorting to a firearm appears to be a streamed type pepper spray. These aerosol enough to quickly affect the target but are less likely to blow back on the user than the old cloud-type devices. And they are unlikely to disperse throughout an entire hall or sanctuary. Check out the model often recommended by law enforcement: "POM MK3 Pepper Spray, Belt Clip Model, Maximum Police Strength OC with UV Marking Dye, Powerful Accurate Stream, 1.8 fl oz" on Amazon.
