Good quality and value for money
I purchased this for my Canon EOS1100D to use for astrophotography on days when I didnt want to have my laptop connected. I havent been able to use it yet because the weather has been too cloudy, but I have tried the functions indoor and it works exactly as described. The build quality and display unit is clear and offers good value for money according to my level of expertise. My rating is 10/10

Versatile dual trigger type remote control
The main selling point of this device is being able to trigger a camera via wireless or cable. Simply plug the receiver into the camera remote socket and you can fire the shutter directly from the button on that. Alternatively, use the wireless handset to do the same. It is also able to make timed bulb exposures and has an intervalometer setting to take shots at predefined intervals. A particularly good alternative to an expensive Canon original remote.

Works as expected
The product is good and does all the remote release, interval release etc. The instructions are challenging, I really had to use all of my vastly superior intellect to overcome them. Would be 5 stars, but one off for making me have to think.

Good luck pairing - You'll need it!
Just wasted 2 hours of my life trying to the emitter to pair with the receiver and it simply refuses to do so. I'm a semi pro photographer, used to working in studios with remote lighting flash etc. I'm not a novice in these things. The instruction manual has obviously been really badly translated into English, they make absolutely no sense whatsoever. At no point in the pairing process instructions do they actually say what to do with the emitter when trying to pair, you just have to guess the combinations of buttons to press. As I mentioned, I gave up after 2 hours of trying. I finally figured out how to get the green light on the receiver, but it still refused to accept any commands from the emitter. Why oh why can't they just come pre-paired?, it really does beggar belief that the first thing you have to do before using it is try and pair the two components. Other than that, it's a really badly designed product. On similar devices, they plug nice and neatly into the flash socket, with a cable leading into the camera itself. This one doesn't - You plug the lead into the camera, hook a tiny thing cable onto the camera strap then it just dangles there flapping about in the wind, what a daft idea! Finally the thumb slider is unbelievably stiff to open and close the shutter, you almost have to hold it in two hands and force your thumb onto it, to get it to slide. All in all, an absolute waste of my time and money, I did consider the Hama version, but at £65 I thought it was a bit steep. Proof that you get what you pay for. I will be sending this one back and ordering the Hama version, Lesson well and truly learnt!!!!! Martin

Does the job
I found this no problem at all to use. Didn't need pairing as some suggest I just switched it on it worked straight away. Tested it tonight catching the aurora and was far better then my old cable one and does have a good range.

Easy to use and does the job
Needed to do a timelapse and so purchased this handy bit of kit. So far it seems to do the job just perfectly. Even better, batteries are included.

No focus and don't connect with camera on!
Unlike some others, the pairing was immediate and worked just fine. However it does not have half press to focus which is really disappointing. But worse, if you connect the remote to the camera while it's on (5d mk ii) it starts auto-shooting, and the power button on the camera stops working so it doesn't turn off! I'm leaving the battery out of the camera in the hope it sorts itself, but be very aware!!! Edit: 24 hours later and the camera is still not switching off despite taking both batteries out for 24 hours. I think it broke my camera. See video (sound up) to see that it goes ballistic when OFF!

The Canon unit works with Fujifilm X-T3
Instructions are difficult to understand. However, I needed an affordable wireless remote to use with my Fujifilm X-T3 and this does the job. I have only done simple provisional tests so time will tell. The price was good enough to take the gamble. Be care full putting in the batteries as the sliding covers are flimsy and other buyers have snapped the catch.

Does NOT need a battery to operate if you use it only as a wired remote ( that what I bought it for )
