Only Worked for a Few Hours, and Not Well.
UPDATE: Tested with alkaline batteries. After three hours, my 10k mAh power bank was still at 25% charge, and now the light doesn't work. Will be returning this, regretfully. There's a lot to like about this item. It's compact, with an easy-open top. The LED light is bright and steady. And the price is right. That said, it does seem to be a little slow. I tested it with the only two types of batteries I had on hand, a set of Super Heavy Duty ones from a dollar store, and a national brand rechargeable type. Alkaline batteries are strongly recommended by the manufacturer, and I don't doubt they'd yield better results than what I used. But here's what I found: After one hour, the Super Heavy Duty batteries had charged my older Android from 82% to 88%. After an additional hour, it was still there. Thinking the batteries may have died, I pulled and tested them. They were just about 35% depleted. The second test, with branded rechargeables, yielded similar results. After one hour, it charged to 95% from 88%, and wouldn't go any further. Those batteries tested out at around 30% depleted. Things I think would help yield better results: A faster cable, the proper type of battery, and charging a power bank instead of directly charging a phone. I have a few 10-20k mAh banks I'm going to fool with to see if I get better results. The bottom line? It does the job, albeit slowly, and would probably charge a small flip phone more quickly. With a good supply of AA alkalines, it's a good alternative to solar for an emergency tool kit, and worth the $7 I paid. I would buy it again.

Worked luck a charm. Love them
These work if your in a jam. When our power went out from the snow storm these literally saved our household. Lol. I have a toddler who loves playing and watching videos on her tablet. Well without power it wasn't possible so these charges came in handy to have. It literally saved the day and made a toddler very happy. So yes they do work and are small enough to carry anywhere. I bought 2 and wil definitely be getting a few more. It's very easy to use. Just put the lithium batteries in and go. It also has a flash light and it's bright. :)

Great product, used with lithium rechargeable batteries
LZDICITARU Battery Operated Phone Charger Emergency|USB Battery Powered Power Bank Portable 4 AA Batteries Powered Outlet (White) SIZE The battery bank is not large but actually somewhat big when you consider the amount of BAttery capacity it provides versus what you get with a purpose built battery bank. The use of AA batteries creates a loss of size efficiency that the product makes up for in powersource availability; the availability of the additional batteries. I doesn't weight much until you place the batteries in it, at which point it does obtain a modestly substantial weight. BUILD QUALITY This isn't built very robustly. It does feel like something that would break if dropped. Even though I have dropped it before, it does still work. I wouldn't be too rough with this. I used these with lithium ion AA rechargeable batteries. I do seem to have to recharge them quickly after being used in this but i assumed it was a matter of the lower voltage and power capacity of my lithium batteries vs mr previous actual power bank, but it may be that batteries lose efficiency in this device and rechargeables may more of their power lost in heat or something in this device. Its also possible that the warning is supposed to be against NiMh batteries which operate at a 1.2 volts and not lithium which operates at the same voltage as alkaline (1.5 volts). These are a great value if you do use them with a collection of rechargeable batteries because it gives you a battery banks for for a small fee and that same power source can go back to running your game controllers or remote and flashlights when you don't need it. That makes this the perfect device for emergency kits. since this is appropriately compatible with AA batteries that should or would also be in such emergency kits. Its also great to have in the event you can't charge your phone at an outlet but could purchase batteries.

Great idea
Novel design, good price, and surprised we haven't seen these sooner. Made it part of my camping and power outage kits so i can use the AA batteries in them as an additional backup. Flashlight is not very good but it's adequate enough and given that it's part of a kit that already has a separate flashlight, I am not overly concerned with it. Think of it as good enough to find a better flashlight in your house to use it.

Small power
Does not work as well as expected or as well as you are led to believe, works for very small power devices.

Does not work for charging. Don't buy!!
There was at least one review that said this doesn't work and I wish I listened to them. My lights recently went out for 8-12 hours and I bought this when they were out thinking it could be a while before they came back on. It has a flash light and that works great. For some reason though, it has a red backup light on at all times when not in use, which means it's draining the batteries when it's not being used. I was really hoping the review was wrong, but they so got it right. Save your money look for a better product.

This works.. This is a great product to have in an emergency, if you are out in the wilderness and both your mobile phone and your rechargeable Battery Bank have no power left.. Just pop in 4 AA batteries and charge your mobile phone, easy.. The result I got with my IPhone 16 (which uses a USB A to Lightning connector), using 4 new Duracell Plus batteries in this Battery Operated Phone Charger, my IPhone was charged to 56% from 4% in 5 hours.. It gets you out of trouble, this can be a life saver.. And they are so affordable.. Just keep plenty of AA batteries with you.. Amazon have these batteries with a 10yr shelf life, a great compliment to a life saving situation..
