Purchased this for my husband for iced tea as buying bottles was getting expensive. This is a sturdy jar, made with thick heavy glass. The spigot attaches easily and does NOT drip. Being glass, it doesn't retain any odor from whatever is stored in it. The strainer works well for coffee, tea and even fresh fruit if you are having a gathering and just want flavored water. We put this on the middle rack in the fridge and the spigot easily clears the door, so it doesn't have to be moved except to clean and refill. The little chalkboard label is an adorable bonus which I wasn't expecting.

I bought this so that I could make iced tea at home. I usually add a little bit of cool water to the bottom of it and then boil my tea and an electric kettle. I then add the hot tea directly to the container. It works great and it will hold the tea for a couple weeks before it gets bad. It fits well in the refrigerator and doesn’t take up too much space. I don’t know that I would want much larger a size due to the weight on the glass shelves of the refrigerator. It does seem to be pretty durable and I usually hand wash it and it does fine. I just make sure that I run some water and soapy water through the spigot part. Definitely a good value for what you’re getting. I wanted to go with glass so that I didn’t have hot tea going into plastic and potentially releasing PFAS. Metal top lid can be a little tricky to get aligned, but there’s no need to necessarily over tighten it. I’ve actually come to really like the Zulay products because they are of a good quality.

Easy to use, brews well and easy to clean.

I've been looking for a tea container for my fridge for a long time that had these features: * a spigot dispenser (so I can dispense right from the fridge) * large size (at least a gallon) * made of glass (I try to avoid plastic for food storage) * rectangular shape for better space utilization This met all my requirements, so I bought it. I've only used it once so far and it seems fine, but I have a few design criticisms: * The lid is crap -- it's very light weight (so easily bent), and the threads aren't deep enough to correctly guide the screwing action as you try to put on the lid -- so it's a pain to put the lid on. * Though it would be less stable, I'd prefer a design where the jug was deeper (front-to-back) and thinner (side-to-side) -- in this way it would stretch further back on the shelf of the fridge, and take up less premium horizontal real-estate at the front part of the fridge shelf. (It's hard to get at stuff behind the dispenser, so let the dispenser stretch all the way to the back of the shelf!) * I don't like how the spigot installs to the jug: it goes together like this: 1. First put a decorative front-facing metal washer onto the threaded spigot pipe; 2. then a tapered rubber gasget; 3. then you place the spigot pipe through the jug; 4. then add another rubber gasket from inside the jug; 5. then another decorative metal washer; and finally 6. a metal nut to compress it altogether. I'm skeptical of any metal-on-metal surface forming a good seal, so for now I've left off the outer metal washer. (I.e., I skipped step 1 above.) The main design problem I see with this assembly is that those rubber gaskets (while probably effective at stopping leaks across the compressed surface) are probably not doing a good job of stopping liquid from flowing along the helical path formed by the thread under the inner gasket ring. So assuming liquid can get past the inner nut and metal washer, it would slowly flow under the rubber gaskets through the helical tunnel formed by the thread all the way to where threaded pipe joins with the spigot body -- this is why I thought it important to leave off that outer metal washer. All that said, the thing does not appear to be leaking. Also, if it did start leaking through the thread, I'm sure I could pack the thread with Vaseline (people put that on their lips so probably safe?) to stop the leak. So for now I give it 4 stars, but if it starts leaking any time soon I'll be back to knock off a star.

There are so, so many of these on the market. The way I made Ice coffee before was a total mess. This is very simple. Very easy to keep clean and yes Id like a big giant oversized container (jar) and prepare it less often (because Im lazy) this is great! (They do offer a bigger sized one). It came 100% ready to go. As well, a little wrench in case the spout needs adjustment but i didnt have to put anything together or adjust anything. Spout was installed already. I Cleaned it. Filled it with coffee, let it steep, as directed, the first time and enjoyed it the next morning. I like a stronger brew and have played with the brewing time to my taiste. I love that its glass not plastic. The filter, spout and lid are well made and super easy to clean. Its an even brew. No more the good stuff settled to the bottom and I have to stir it before pouring. I can see how you can make a lot more than coffe in it too. I love it and wished I bought this years ago. I bought the gold one its in the fridge now!

I am very pleased with this item, and with the service provided by the seller when I had a minor problem. It makes EXCELLENT cold-brew coffee, as confirmed by my coffee-snob neighbor. The stainless steel filter is big enough to pour in ground coffee without spilling any. 8 ounces of coffee makes a delicious batch of VERY strong cold brew after 24 hours in the refrigerator. I might prefer that the metal lid had a rubber gasket for a better seal: if you shake it, a little coffee leaks out the top. This is not enough of a problem to affect my 5-star rating... especially after the seller solved a minor problem quickly and effectively. When it arrived, the filter was slightly dented (pictured); leaving a small gap at the bottom that leaked more fine grounds into the first batch of coffee than I would prefer. I sent ONE Email to the seller with a description and pictures of the damage. The seller immediately shipped a replacement filter, with no further communication required on my part. Bottom line: both the seller, and this item, earned five stars!

Awesome for cold brew iced tea! No grounds in your drink, no bitter taste, a wonderful glass of iced tea comes forth. Easy way to make a concentrate and then add water to taste. Solid glass material, best filter I've seen, and the spigot seems to work fine. Tight lid on top. This is a good choice so buy with confidence.

Tanto si te gusta el café para hacer un cold brew como si te gusta el agua de sabores o si tienes una fiesta y quieres llenarlo de rebujito debes tenerlo. Está muy bien construido. Lo he metido varias veces en el lavavajillas y aguanta perfectamente. Lo tengo desde principio de verano y ni el grifo ni el filtro tienen ningún síntoma de óxido.

Le produit est reçu dans un carton simple sans protection pour le transport. Cela n'a pas posé de problème, le produit était en bon état. Nous sommes très agréablement surpris de la qualité de ce produit. Le filtre est très fin et permet de faire infuser, autant du café moulu, que du thé, ou n'importe quel fruit, sans laisser de particule dans la boisson. Le robinet et le couvercle sont légèrement moins qualitatif mais en bon état et fonctionnels. Très contente de ce produit.

I have used this with coffee from Aldi and some nut milk and after 24 hours brewing time the flavour was rich and mellow and the nicest cold coffee I have had in a very long time. The capacity was about 3.5L so that is a lot of coffee and after seeing all sorts of different recommendations for coffee to water ratio, I just added the whole 227gm bag of regular ground coffee. So I that makes a ratio of close enough to 15:1 by weight. It is well made and very easy to clean. Highly recommended

Ich liebe im Sommer Coldbrew Kaffee mit Vanille Aroma und Eis zu trinken. Dieses Glas ist ideal dafür, perfekte Größe für die ganze Woche im Kühlschrank…passt perfekt im Kühlschrank, nimmt nicht zu viel Platz dur das quadratische Form und mit dem Harn immer sofort einsatzbereit ohne den Glas aus dem Kühlschrank rausnehmen zu müssen. Das feine Filter dazu ist perfekt für Kaffee…es kommen keine gemahlene Kaffeereste durch den Filter in den Kaffee hinein. Im Sommer ist diesen Glas immer in mein Kühlschrank bereit und wird am Wochenende immer frisch gebrüht. Ich liebe es! Den Harn tropft nicht nach und die Dichtung hält sehr gut. Nur beim Waschen muss man gut damit aufpassen…den Glas nicht auf die Waschbeckenkante anzustoßen.
