In a bitter divorce settlement from her billionaire husband Rupert Mannion, Rebecca Welton (Hannah Waddingham) becomes the new owner of British football club AFC Richmond. She's assisted by her Director of Football Operations, Higgins (Jeremy Swift), who formerly worked for her husband. Her first order of business is to fire the team's current manager and replace him with an idealistic all-American football coach Theodore "Ted" Lasso (Jason Sudeikis). Ted and his friend, assistant Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt) cross the pond to take up the management of the team's "long, albeit modest" history. Ted gets to know the team - including Team Captain Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein), top scorer Jamie Tartt (Phil Dunster) and more - but finds his first friend in the locker room assistant Nathan (Nick Mohammed). Half a world away from his wife and child, Ted could use a friend. But he presses on, nevertheless. Richmond is about to change the way they're doing things — and from now on — that is the Lasso way. As for the content, I didn't think I'd ever enjoy Ted Lasso then one night I thought I'd watch an episode. And that was all it took. One of the best series ever made, my wife who has no interest in football loves the show too. All kinds of subjects are covered, and the actors put in stellar performances, and you actually care about them all. You'll laugh and cry in equal measure but always feel good at the end. TV doesn't get much better than this
DVDs work fine as you would expect and arrived promptly. As for the content, I didn't think I'd ever enjoy Ted Lasso then one night I thought I'd watch an episode. And that was all it took. One of the best series ever made, my wife who has no interest in football loves the show too. All kinds of subjects are covered, and the actors put in stellar performances, and you actually care about them all. You'll laugh and cry in equal measure but always feel good at the end.

Brings back my faith in the world
Absolutely brilliant, very funny and uplifting. Very very sweary, and even though its about football, it's nothing to do with football (as someone who finds football dull as dishwater, I thought this show was wonderful). Wish there were more shows like this. It gives me hope for humanity.

Now I can cancel Apple TV!
The only reason I had my Apple TV membership. Buying the DVDs worked out cheaper! Arrived quickly. Brand new (including my own “Believe” poster). Perfect.

Learn from Ted
Superb series. A must watch

Word of Caution - DVD is Region 1
5 stars for the programme, it's absolute genius writing and expertly acted out. I bought the DVD copy with it saying PAL in the description but the third disc jumped all over the place. So, faulty disc made me return and get another copy. We were watching it on the PlayStation upstairs but when the new copy arrived, it wouldn't play in the Blu-ray player downstairs. Realised now that both copies I got were Region 1 encoded. The Blu-ray copy of the boxed set is Region free, so will work fine. If your player will play Region 1 no problem, then go with the DVD and save yourself £11.00! Otherwise, Blu-ray.

A great comedy which delves into life problems
Good comedy with some clever twists which delves into human life and issues, oh and it's about some footballers and their manager.
