Works as expected — good 4K signal and fast Ethernet
This Amazon Basics USB-C hub works exactly as it should. The HDMI connection gives a clean 4K signal to my TV, and the wired Ethernet connection is stable. I’m getting around 900 Mbps through the cable, which is very good for my setup. Power delivery also works normally. Overall, a simple and reliable hub that does the job well.

all ports function well
transfer speed is fast, does not overheat, ethernet is fast. only issue is i have it connected to a 100watt power source but it does not charge my hp computer. not a fatal flaw.

Works great with 4k 60 hz monitor on Windows laptops!
I use this for both my new Windows 11 laptop and my old Windows 10 laptop. I have a 4k 60 hz monitor connected to the hdmi port, an ergonomic keyboard that I connect to a usb-a port, and my new laptop’s power cord that I connect to the usb-c power port. Everything it works fine. I had bought a different brand hub first that failed within 6 weeks after I unplugged it and later replugged it in. This Amazon hub works fine and I’ve unplugged it and replugged it several times. My only concern is that the Amazon hub gets very hot. I hope it doesn’t short out from the heat. But so far everything is good.

Fairly effective.
While I didn't bother reading instructions, it functioned as I intuitively thought with some slight troubleshooting. For example, using the correct USB-C for power or data. Connections to support an external monitor needs power toggling occasionally. Patience paid off. Expected a subpar Chinese knock-off (with questionable safety standards). But works very well, but can get warm.

Lots of great uses for this.
This hub is essential for a Quest or other virtual reality headset if you want to stream HDMI video to it. It allows you to hook up the HDMI source AND a power supply to feed to the headset to prevent the battery from running down.

Flakey with Macs
I'm the head IT person for my company and, as such, do a lot of IT related purchasing. We have tried a number of USB Docks over the years: some were good; others not so much. So in searching currently available docks, I ran across this one that Amazon kinda of co-branded. Overall Impression I was intrigued because it had a 10 Gbps network connection. That would allow me to make full use of my fiber connection. It also had a 4K HDMI port, good for my 4K monitors. And two high-speed USB connections. This is just enough of everything we typically need/use. I run on a MacBook Pro M3 rich in memory and disk space. When I tested it, I was running Sonoma 14.7 with Sequoia 15.0 having just come available. I never use first release of major OSes, preferring to wait until the .1 release comes along. This gives others time to find the bugs and the vendor to fix them. I plugged it into my Mac. macOS asked for permission to connect the device which I gave it. macOS was happy with the device. I plugged in my monitor's HDMI cable; it connected right up. I plugged in my network cable; it too came right up. I plugged in my Logitech antenna for the detached KB/mouse; that worked. So far, so good. I plugged in a thumb drive and ... nothing. Hmm: that's odd. Plugged it into my Mac directly; worked like a champ. Plugged it back into the dock ... nothing. Not sure of what to make of that other than 2 USB devices and only 1 of the 2 worked. Then I noticed that my 27" 4K LG monitor would randomly turn black, just for a second or two, then would come back on. Okay: that's weird. So I used it a bit and the monitor would turn black now and this in the middle of using it as my main/primary display. It was not like I was pushing out rapid changes such as one would do in a game. I was just using it for normal Outlook, Excel, business type activities. I took it out and plugged in another USB Dock (a Qgeem model that I had been using before) and everything worked perfectly. The monitor went back to being solidly on. My thumb drive showed up just like it should. My external KB/mouse worked like they always have. Pros: - 10G network connection - Decent assortment of ports - Reasonable price - Worked upon plugging in on my Mac (e.g. no drivers to load) Cons: - Flakey USB connections - Flakey monitor connection Recommendation: I would avoid this particular dock, at least for now. Any USB Dock you get needs to be solid and dependable. This one is not. Amazon's vendor that makes it may come up with an improved model sometime in the future. That's then; this is now. There are plenty of USB Docks available. I would search for another brand.

Flakey and hot
Runs a bit hot to the touch. The USB ports and such are all fine. However, the connection is kinda flakey, with the HDMI port regularly showing artifacts and failing to connect normally. I've tried several cables and host devices, but it seems to be the fault of the dongle. When the dongle works, it correctly on GrapheneOS on a Google Pixel device, but inconsistent behavior is observed -- the same as all other devices. Please consider going for another dongle instead.

Funzionale.
Molto meglio di tante marche blasonate e costose! Ci sono tutti gli attacchi possibili ed è anche gradevole al tatto e alla vista: liscio, lucido e di una bella tonalità di grigio. Consigliato!
