Carson Dellosa Story Elements Reading Comprehension 5th Grade and 6th Grade Workbook, Passages and Targeted Practice Activities, Classroom or Homeschool Curriculum (Spotlight on Reading) [Frank Schaffer Publications] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Carson Dellosa Story Elements Reading Comprehension 5th Grade and 6th Grade Workbook, Passages and Targeted Practice Activities, Classroom or Homeschool Curriculum (Spotlight on Reading) Review: Great - I bought the whole Spotlight series books for reading. They are very teacher and kid friendly. The lessons are ready to go. Review: Disappointed - While the worksheets/activities themselves are fine, I was disappointed to find that there was no lesson beforehand to teach the concepts. For example, the first instruction in the first lesson is to 'circle the correct genre' of the types suggested. How would the child know to do this if the term 'genre' hasn't even been explained beforehand? How is the child to choose the correct answer without understanding the answers? Seriously in need of a teacher handbook to go with it as now I have to come up with lessons for each of the pages.

While it is somewhat useful, it's mot exactly the best teaching tool or writing motivator.
