Good Izula clone, but not the same as the real item
Thankfully, my knife does not have the fake ESEE IZULA badge and is instead blank. In fact, there is no marking at all on the knife. Nothing to indicate the maker, brand or steel type. Based on the advertisement, the knife is made of D2 tool steel. Is it real D2? Well, actually D2 is nothing really to brag about. 440C probably has better rust resistance and toughness and easier to sharpen. So, I would give this maker the benefit of the doubt and believe it is D2. Fit and finish of the blade is very good. No burrs or imperfections that I can notice, and the blade is sharp and passes the newspaper push cut test. The sheath is actually not bad. The retention is not strong, but then the blade does not fall out if held upside down. The bad of the sheath is that if you paracord wrap the handle, the wrap will interfere with the sheath. But I have an old Anza leather knife sheath that fits perfectly, so it will probably reside there. I spent the $70 to get the real Izula and I like both knives.

Fix the sheath retention & this is a 5-star knife
This is a copy of a well-known make & model. IDK WTF is wrong with me buying these clones, but for $19, I just couldn't resist..... I'm more of a collector than a user, anyway.... That said; the knife itself came extremely sharp, and overall seems of great quality. It is beautifully thin & compact. I do wish the handle was like 0.5-1" longer, but that's what the real v.ii model of this is for.... :-\ That said; the sheath on the first knife I got was laughably, totally loose. It either flew right by QC, or this maker doesn't have any QC. (I mean, for the price.... :-\ ) I requested + received an exchange. The second one is a touch better; the knife doesn't fall out soon as you invert it & try to wear as a neck knife, but not much better. For the price - $19.00 - and for how thin, slim, compact this is, I'll keep it. I have a real heat gun & need to break it out to tighten a few other kydex sheaths, so i'll just add this to the pile of sheaths to heat & tighten. The sheath is decent enough quality, just needed to be pressed into the blade more to retain it better. I was thinking about doing 3 stars; would have done 3.5 if 0.5 was an option, but the knife seems really, really nice & I do like it. Might possibly wrap it in 1 layer of paracord, maybe. But again; I just really get a kick out of & marvel at how thin & compact it is. Seems very sturdy; just nicely compact. So; if you buy this, get your heat gun ready, or just plan on making a whole new sheath....

Buy w/confidence.
Nice, solid, sharp knife. I owned several Chris reeves knives: professional soldier model, and somehow, they all disappeared. I got to thinking, is there a less expensive, version of this knife? Found it, of course it’s not the same heft, or steel quality, but, I won’t get upset if I lose it. Size seems about right, nice kydex sheath, it checks all of my boxes for what I need it to do and the price is perfect. Buy with confidence.

A useful lightweight blade-better with DIY modified sheath.
Overall, a very useful lightweight knife for the price. The Kydex sheath holds the blade securely, but is not great on the belt. I added a leather backing to the Kydex sheath (see photos). Total weight with modified sheath is 4.2 oz. Light weight is the big plus for this knife, making it a very good small game hunting knife.

Must Buy!!!
The knife comes sharp. I wrapped my handle with Paracord and made it even better! The sheath came a little loose so I heated it up with a hair dryer and tightened it up. Now the sheath is solid. I threw a Slim 3.3 Ultra Clip on it to pocket carry. The sheath also fits the Esee Izula. This is a must buy hands down!!!

Very sharp. Good price.
I got this knife because I wanted to try D2 material blades. I already have the Esee Izula and wanted to give this a try. This blade arrived sharp. The prices is fair. I will be keeping this for a long time.
