this first aid spray didn't help heal wound on foot as i thought/hoped it would, dog wasn't discouraged in licking even with the bitter taste, it wouldn't spray properly if bottle wasn't totally upright so hard to use on foot wounds if having to spray at an angle, it was a waste of money for me

I have four dogs, and a rotating crew of foster dogs and have tried countless products over the year for scrapes, cuts, dog/cat bites and skin tears. This product is hands down the BEST product for dog injuries that I have ever used. I have lent out bottles to other foster parents and they have liked it so much that they are disciples of it now, too. I won't go a day without having at least one bottle in the house (they have a tube of the same product in a gel form that is great too, especially for larger cuts). One bottle usually lasts me four to five months. This spray is easy to apply and a little bit goes a long way. The collagen in the product helps wounds not just heal but actually CLOSE UP! It is so great to see a cut start to close up in a day or two (as opposed to using just a regular topical antibiotic). It is important to clean the wound before applying because of this product's ability to close up the wound. Some of my dogs don't seem the mind the taste of it, and will try to lick it off. However, the majority of my dogs don't like the taste of it and don't try to lick it off after I apply it.

It is far too expensive for such a tiny amount, even considering that if purchased on the .com site, it would be far less expensive and that isn't even the cost of exchanging US funds to Canadian. Sorry, it just doesn't merit the high price!

Our dog got a huge gape in her neck after trying to crawl under a barbed wire fence. We thought we would have to take her to the vet after trying a few over the counter wound remedies without much success. We saw this product online and after reading the reviews we decided to give it a try. This is as good as getting stitches and causes the wound to heal quickly. Its' ability to heal matches the product's description.

Used it for my dog when he skinned his front paw pad. It didn't appear to sting or otherwise cause any discomfort, and did keep him from licking, but not for more than 1hr to 1 1/2 hrs before having to reapply. Got some on myself while applying. It tastes bad & I noticed it even after washing, so may work better for picky dogs. Mine will eat anything!

I bought this for one of my pups hot spots that he keeps gnawing on. I sprayed lightly (two pumps) and tried waiting for it to dry. It took 10+ minutes! I don't know who they tested this on but none of my pups would sit quietly for more than 10 minutes. Plus, while it's drying, it's sticky as hell. It got all over my hands, all over my pups front leg. I had even forgotten it got on my hands and, hours later when I rubbed my lip, I got to taste the bitter stuff - YUCK! I don't know that I'd recommend this due to the drying time and the stickiness while drying.
