Bose SoundDock XT Speaker (White/Dark Gray)

I know what you're thinking - how can any Bose product cost this little? Surely you can't get that world class Bose sound for less than $150. I hear you friend - I too was a skeptic - thus I asked for it as a Christmas gift (let some other sucker pay money for it and give it to me!). I plugged it in and slotted my iPhone 5 to the dock and was surprised to hear the rich sound that boomed forth. This was that Bose sound that, up until now, I had only heard at displays in Best Buy. I loved it so much I immediately bought a second one for my office. Really the only con with this dock is that it only has a lighting and aux in. If you are looking to connect an old 30-pin iPod or blue tooth connect you're out of luck. I looked for a lightning to 30-pin connector adapter but it doesn't seem like there are any trustworthy ones out there. Apple keeps that stuff pretty locked down. As long as you've got a lightning device though I can't recommend this high enough for you if you want a great sounding/low cost speaker.

This is the second dock and, hopefully, last dock I will ever buy. I paid more but got so much more in quality of sound. It doesn't tell time but I don't care. I have a clock on the wall to do that. This is a great dock for my iPod. I can listen without earbuds bugging my ears and hear others talking while I work in my studio. It is small and mighty. I would suggest this dock to friends and family. I am so happy to have purchased this item. Thanks to Bose, masters of audio.

The sound quality is much better than similar docks that I've tried. In particular the bass in amazing with very little distortion. In fact, the bass is my one complaint. If you just want to listen to classical, jazz, or spoken word (as in a podcast) the bass is a little high and cannot be adjusted. Other than sound quality I also enjoy how easy this product is to use. After plugging it into the wall, it's ready to receive any 5th or 6th generation iPhone straight out go the box. Other devices can be accommodated with an auxiliary cord, which is not included. The volume that this little unit generates is also rather impressive.

i ordered this from overseas but it has a problem. when i first dock my iphone 5c, it plays fine and in fact i like the sound too. but after about 1 minute or less, sound starts jumping as if disc got stock. i dont think my phone has a problem because it works fine with other docking system. since it is complicated and time consuming to return it back to the states, i called the service center here and asked them if this item is eligiable for world warranty. Service person told me to bring a proof of purchase with it and that if i have right documnts they will fix it for me. i got it from here because of the world warranty so i hope this works out fine so i can enjoy some music. but i am not too sure what documents to take to a/s center.

I bought this as a gift for my husband. What I didn't realize was he wanted it for our bathroom. It works great and apparently works well in the humid bathroom. The sound quality is excellent and I love that when he is done getting ready, I can come in and put my phone in his place and play my music while I get ready. Love, love, love this product.

I bought as a Christmas gift for my son so cannot speak of its long term viability. I did unpack it to try it out to make sure it would fit with his phone case. I read reviews that phone cases were problematic BUT it fits perfectly with the iPhone 7 and the Apple Smart Battery case. It sounded very good although it was a little base-heavy. My teenage son will love it though! I will update review after Christmas.

Sounds great, but I just started using it today. I was impressed by the utter unfussiness of the packaging and the almost comical ease of use. I took it out of the box, plugged it in, attached my iTouch, and I am in business. No bells no whistles. It wills the one thing: to amplify and project the music (or whatever). However, since that is all I bought if for, I am really quite happy. Thanks, Bose.

I am very disappointed with the product, especially having paid $149 for a supposedly quality product from Bose. I've been using it for about eight months, with my ipod connected via the lightening connector. After a few uses, the sound would intermittently cease, prompting me to need to re-dock my ipod. This worked until recently. There is no longer any sound coming from the unit with the ipod docked, and I've tried everything to fix it. (Note: The ipod works fine when docked to my computer.) In the end, I purchased a cheap 3.5 mm male to male audio cable, connecting via the headphone jack of my ipod to the AUX input jack at the rear of the unit. This works, but now the ipod doesn't charge. So, ultimately, the cheap dock on the unit failed rendering the unit partly useful. In addition, the sound quality is not that great, unless the volume is turned up very high. If you're restricted to playing music in environments requiring low volume, don't expect excellent sound quality. Finally, I wasn't thinking about this before purchasing the unit, but not having remote control -- at least to control the volume -- is a bit inconvenient. So, overall, I would not recommend this expensive product, given the lack of reliability and poor sound quality. UPDATE: A year later, this product is simply frustrating to use. After about 30 minutes of use, some sort of feedback is sent to the speakers rather than music from my ipod. This is, apparently, due to electrostatic build up, requiring me to unplug the device and my ipod for about 10 minutes. This is clearly a design flaw. Comments from the company to unplug the device is just ridiculous. Fix the design of this product...and give me my money back!

This product arrived in perfect condition on the date it said it would. The price was much better than at regular stores that carried the same item. I gave it as a gift to my boyfriend and he was super happy. Immediately we set it up and started playing music. We actually like a wide variety of music, he more electronic and punk and myself I like classic gothic and also new wave 80's. All kinds sound crisp and clear. So much better than other speaker systems we both had purchased before. Obviously Bose products cost more than many other similar things on the market, but I have to say this beat every other system we have around the house. Really pleased and completely would recommend. I also have to say it looks sleek, it is lightweight, so easy to tote to other rooms.

La bocina es de mucha potencia, compatible con apple de la entrada pequena, tiene buen volumen y el ligero,podria mejorar un poco si tuviera bluethood, aun que se que este modelo no lo incluye.

Very good sound. Used in a home office. If you have a case on your iPhone it likely won't fit. They really need to make an adapter or extender for this to allow more case adaptation. Maybe I'm wrong but pretty much everybody uses a case for their iPhone. I happen to have the Spigen thin fit iPhone 7 case - this fits; two other cases I have won't. That would be my only gripe. No one will be disappointed in the sound quality. Good highs and great bass for such a small unit.

Sin duda un excelente opción para los productos de la manzana, es muy básica en cuanto sus funciones pero el sonido es excelente, sin duda la calidad bose esta presente, tiene entrada aux in, así que si tienes o compras un receptor de bluetooth, tendrás música inalámbricamente, lo muy bueno es que dejas cargando tu cel por las noches y si tu alarma es de música, pues despertaras con un muy agradable música, los bajos son muy buenos para el tamaño de la bocina y en competencia con otras. Si te la recomiendo y espera que la saquen en promo, generalmente a esta bocina la ponen en promo

When I ordered this it didn't say it wouldn't work on ipod4 so ordered the adaption piece and it still does not work. Not very impressed with this product.
