This caddy features a filtered lid to reduce odours and a hidden ring for holding a compostable liner inside so it's not seen when in use! What could be a more attractive compost caddy for your kitchen? Made in England and every one is unique These caddies are made by hand in England from English terracotta clay. The rustic glaze finish is acheived by dipping the caddy in two glazes which melt and react in the kiln, creating a unique surface finish. For this reason, the pattern and glaze on every caddy will be unique and maybe slightly different to the image shown. Filter to keep smells at bay An active carbon filter is fitted inside the lid to help absorb odours. We recommend that you change the filters every 3 months or when smells become noticeable. One spare filter is also included. Use with or without a compostable liner The inside of the caddy is fully glazed so can be used on it's own or you can use a compostable bag (Ideal for use with All-Green 6L liners). The caddy includes a unique metal ring which means the liner can be held securely, but hidden within the caddy, so there's no un-sightly bag visible! Size: 185mm (diameter) x 245mm (h) approx Capacity: 3 litres*** Important note about colour *** These caddies are made and glazed by hand so will all vary slightly in colour/glaze style. It seemed expensive at the time for a compost bin, but it's worth the spend. Looks so much nicer than the plastic ones on our kitchen worktop, super easy to clean, is really robust, doesn't stain and most importantly, there's no smell. It also came with a filter (plus a spare) that sits inside the lid to prevent any odours from escaping.
